I have purchased two of these little knives. They are perfect for Cricut projects and cutting up cardboard. The blades are extremely sharp! This little knife packs a punch! I have cut up soo many cardboard boxes very easily! It's a little awkward to cut up bigger boxes, with it being a small blade, but it'll slice right through cardboard like butter. I like that the knife comes with a pack of replacement blades. I go through the blades rather quickly. After cutting through a bigger box or two, the blade does loosen, so, you have to stop and tighten it back up. Highly recommend these little knives! ... show more

Reviewers said I would be very pleased if I purchased this Exacto set and they were right. I love the green handle which makes it easy to see where I set it down. I have been cutting design out of watercolor paper without any problem. The sweetest thing is the 6" metal ruler they give as a gift. I actually had reason to use it before the knife. Without it I would have had a hard time finding something that fit so well into the small area I needed to cut. DIYSELF actually created a plastic packet for the Exacto, extra blades (in a protective cover) and the ruler. I will be coming back again to this brand and have been telling my artist friends. This is really nice! Just as good, if not better than the well-known brand. I love that it comes in a little bag, in which to store the blades alongside the knife. They even give you a wee ruler! Although I have a longer one, which is something I’d definitely recommend having in order to create clean, straight cuts. I’ve already used it to cut a very large mat for an art print, and the blade is still quite sharp. It’s not terribly ergonomic or comfortable to use, but I’ve yet to find one that is. Mine didn't come with the ruler. Probably an opened return, ugh. Either way, for the price and the time crunch where I needed it, not complaining. I haven't had issues with the knife slipping out but the cap does come off very easily.
