The media could not be loaded. I’ve always wanted a cricut to take my business to another level and boy have I been putting this machine to work !! I called Amazon today and because i was on the phone that it’s connected I needed to hang up and call back unfortunately I did not get the same representative I am so sad because whoever answered the second time transferred me and they eventually hang up on me Amazon I am disappointed in this and will be giving you a call tomorrow mines is not working like it should and I have an event next week end and having problems with this and the T-shirt machine Amazon is a joke and is just SHEIN in reality you pay for prime items delivered lack you buy things and the reps can’t help very much and that keep apologizing too late you already got my money 💰 now I got to figure h this out I will be calling Amazon tomorrow to get help with this every one else is making things excepts me the things I purchased thru Amazon is. pOS they don’t even work 😤😤😤😤😤 ... show more

The two negative things one might say about Cricut are: 1) that they made a push not long ago to try and get everyone on a subscription model, by limiting monthly uploads for non-subscribers. 2) relatedly, that you have to be connected to the internet to use the Cricut software that lets you send designs to the device (which, somewhat oddly, does not itself connect to the internet). Adjacent to #2 is the unusual choice to have the only way to connect to the Cricut being via bluetooth or wired USB -- WiFi is strangely absent. Not that big a deal either way -- worst case you buy a $10 bluetooth dongle, if your PC doesn't already have support, and it's not located where you can conveniently run a USB cable. --- With that out of the way, this is a REALLY nice machine. It operates with smooth, quiet efficiently, adeptly slicing out whatever design you feed it. It can handle a variety of materials (if not quite as many as its big sister -- so figure out what it is you want to be doing with it before committing to one), including Cricut's new "Smart Materials" that basically come with a cutting surface backing so you don't have to arrange that yourself. Not that it's that hard to get cutting surfaces, and thankfully this thing works great with MUCH more affordable third party materials. You can use their Cricut studio to create designs, and they do offer a subscription for anyone interested that provides a ton more content (fonts, patterns, etc.) to work with in that context. You can also do like we and a great many other people do, and create your designs in your own vector design software (there are several options), and/or find designs other people have made, and upload them -- which is of course where it remains important for Cricut to learn from the uproar when they tried to force subscriptions on people expecting to be able to continue freely using their device to DIY stuff. So there you have it -- it's a marvelously-engineered machine that works like a dream, with great versatility and so many possibilities. As long as Cricut resists ruining it for everyone as they've threatened to do in the past, I can only heartily recommend it. If that concerns you, of course, then you'd want to look at alternative brands. (And if you're keen on mostly sticking to their own design studio, and don't mind paying for a subscription to have access to lots of stuff to use there, that works too!) ... show more
