The steps are made of plastic and you do have to assemble. But I’m super happy. This was the easiest assembly I’ve had so far from amazon. 2 mins max. Turns out the steps are study with no wobble. Perfect for my senior mini pin and Pom to reach the window bench

Cheaply made and looks nothing like picture on Amazon. Stairs are narrow. Plastic pieces needed to assemble were broken but wouldn’t have helped sturdiness anyway. Very poor design. Do not recommend.
