I have a mid-size family room that is located in the coldest back side of the house with stairs that lead up to the second floor. Even when I closed the bedroom door upstairs it was always very difficult to warm up the family room. The heat would still rise up the stairwell instead of just staying inside the room. Needless to say, it has been problematic in finding the right electric heater for my family room. Thankfully, I read other people’s Amazon reviews about this heater and bought it. No lie though, when I pulled the heater out of the box, I almost freaked out how small it was. I immediately thought I made a mistake with my order. But then I remembered someone else had mentioned in their Amazon review not to be fooled by its size. Sure, enough they were right! This little heater is probably the BEST HEATER I EVER HAD. It totally warms up my family room! In fact, the room gets so hot now, I actually now have to lower the temperature. What I also love about the heater is that it’s small and compact. It fits perfectly on my lamp table. It includes a safety feature that it will immediately turn off if it gets knocked over or if it gets too hot. This heater is powerful. It packs a lot of heat. Hi all, first off, I've never wasted my time on posting product reviews, but this is my first. Its $22 shipped to my door via Amazon Prime. I bought this, because, yes, it seemed to get good reviews and an Amazon choice! This little heater is replacing a 5 year old tower heater that stood about 2' tall in my cold basement 1/2 bathroom. It's rated at 1500 watts, which my old one was. This is a low profile cube that sits on the floor in the corner blowing inward towards the center of the room. It has 3 settings, 1)fan 2)low 3)hi. I judged its output of heat by facing the back of my hand facing it about a foot away, and on low, it was nice and warm! When I switched to Hi, I couldn't keep the back of my hand facing it for more than 25-30 seconds! Wow! It puts out! Only thing I would like to know is this: 1500 watts. That's common. Is that on HI or LO? Don't know. It does crank out though, and how can you complain about the price! I'm trying out a few room heaters since my wife has been turning down the thermostat on our central heat. But to be fair, our system was never meant to heat the basement also. My only question is, if its rated at 1500 watts, is that on HIGH or LOW heat. I would assume HIGH, since they should rate it for MAX. Is low using only 750 watts? That would be great! Either way, I ordered a second one at the same price right away, and I'll just set it aside after unboxing and testing. You don't get much of ANYTHING anymore for a little over $20. ... show more

Going to keep it for the price. Heats as well as any other 1500W heater. Two usability issues: 1. The knobs are all black with a tiny 1mm nub/pointer. Would it cost that much to print a silver line to show what setting the knob is pointed to? I added some colored tape as a workaround. 2. The "on" light only indicates if the tip-over switch is connected. That means if you have it sitting on the floor correctly, the light is ALWAYS ON, even if the heater/fan is off. Not sure if this is by design or if I got a badly wired one, but this is stupid if by design. The workaround is probably to re-solder the light wire to the fan wire, not the tip-over switch. Who wants a light constantly on? I want to tell if I accidentally left the heater on, not if the tipover is working. ... show more
