Our modular home has a lovely, rustic wood burning fireplace, but apparently they are just for show..have been trying to decide the best thing for supplemental heat and ambiance. It took awhile, but finally decided to look at an electric log insert with heater. We decided on the Country Living 20” log insert set, mostly based on reviews, which were excellent; so glad we did, as it is perfect..not too big, not too small, so realistic and beautiful! It gives off a warm gentle heat, which is adjustable, and feel so good! It is heavy enough to be substantial, but light enough for ease of placement. So easy to install..just set it in, plug it in and turn it on..remote works great! What more can I say..we considered a more costly one, but reviews had a few consistent threads that were concerning. So happy with this unit..get one, you can’t go wrong! ... show more

Never thought a fake fireplace insert could look so real. Big bonus is that there is a heating element if you want. Flames have 3 levels and very realistic also bought the crackler . We used our old fireplace screen in front which adds to the realistic look - I would suggest you do the same.

The media could not be loaded. The good: - looks good on or off - heats up nicely - easy to control The bad: - it’s not bright enough. It still looks nice but it doesn’t bring any light to a room like a normal fire would. With just the fire on at night it is too dark to see anything and so you need candles and lamps to make up for it. Which is fine, but it slightly takes away from the cozy feel. Still a great purchase and I get a lot of compliments on it. I use “fireplace noises” on my Alexa speaker to add to the ambiance. ... show more

I was not sure this was what I wanted but after I installed my insert I was extremely happy. It looks just like a real fire with Glowing logs. The heater is nice and it puts out a good amount of heat. I would highly recommend and I give it a 5 star. Easy to install with no problems.
