Enjoy the beauty of Peace Lily, which features solid, green foliage and is fantastic for large spaces. Grow Peace Lily in bright, indirect sunlight. Water it about once a week with approximately 2-3 cups. Ensure excess water drains. Adjust as needed for your environment. Never let Peace Lily sit in water or saturated soil. When delivered, it’s about 24-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. Peace Lily arrives in a 9.25-inch décor pot. To avoid water spillage, this container does not have holes. Peace Lily is generally a moderate grower, depending on environment and care provided. Boost growth in spring and summer with a fertilizer labeled for potted plants following the product’s instructions. When Peace Lily outgrows its current container, repot by gently removing it from its container and placing it in a 2-inch wider container. Fill with potting mix and water thoroughly. This Peace Lily is better and more beautiful than the photo depicting what you can expect to receive. It is huge and healthy, covered with blooms, and cost less than peace lilies half its size at Home Depot. It requires regular watering but, other than that, is a very easy houseplant that makes a spectacular showpiece at this size. I bought the one in a growers pot and immediately placed it in the antique porcelain pot I had prepared for it by placing a large saucer (which holds the plant 1" above its base) at the bottom of the pot to hold drained water. (If you water it and no water drains from the pot, you have not watered it enough.) Admittedly, peace lilies don't seem that exotic, but in that case, you're thinking about the typically small ones offered at grocery stores. At the size of this 3-foot+ tall Lily, with its long, elegant, dark bluish green gracefully arching leaves and large, uniquely shaped pure white flowers rising above them and displayed in a beautiful** pot, its simplicity represents the definition of sophistication. If you have been looking for a large, easy-to-keep, elegant plant that does well in low to medium light situations and presents beautifully wherever you place it, don't pass over this bargain. You will not regret purchasing it, but if kept sufficiently watered and not allowed to dry out, you will enjoy it for years to come. ** This Lily is best displayed in an oriental style or vase shaped pot that complements the plant with subtle colors that add to its impressive qualities, as opposed to, for example, loud neon colors that would only serve to distract from the pleasurable visual experience of a well-matched pairing. A large pot that is 3-4" above the sleeve's soil level and approximately 50-75% as wide as the leaves makes for a lovely display. However, the width, material, and style of pot, as well as its location, are more dependent upon the surrounding decor and personal preference. There are no proportions written in stone, although establishing symmetry (between the pot and plant and ambient surroundings) is an important detail and not one to be overlooked due to the amount of attention the display will invariably receive. The soil should be covered, both to conserve moisture and to obtain the most visual impact of the scene. Unless you have a means of growing green moss around the base of your Lily, your plant will present most attractively when you cover the soil with a layer of white or dark green 3-4 mm "mini hydroponics clay" balls sold in 2 & 4 lb jars in different colors on Amazon, and layer polished white river rocks over them. I bought this for my mom for mother's day. She used to have a bunch of peace lilly plants for decades, but unfortunately had to leave them behind during a move. I thought it would be so special to gift her with a new one. Shipping was so fast and it even arrived early! I had looked at other websites and most were up to three weeks for delivery, which I completely understand, but I am just so thankful I found this seller. It arrived in PERFECT condition. I've never purchased a live plant before so I didn't know what to expect. It is so full, green, beautiful, looks extremely well cared for, and like I had just picked it up at a nursery! There are a couple of flowers on it and I can see where there are a bunch that will very soon bloom! My only thing was that the decorative pot it came in doesn't have drainage, but that is an easy fix!! I am so happy with this seller and I absolutely will be checking out more plants from them. I recently purchased a lamp with shelves and have been wanting to add live plants to each shelf, just haven't found the time to go out. I didn't know ordering plants online could be so seamless. Came well packaged. Soil Moisture meter read 2 and leaves were sagging so I gave it a drink to pick up the soil Moisture above 8 and it bounced rite back. Mist the leaves regularly and water it every 4 days, give indirect light. Very healthy plant. I am very satisfied, great addition to my bedroom to filter the air. ... show more
