  • Easy to set up
Color: Green
Super easy to set up. Because the poles are built into it, it takes up a larger footprint in your vehicle when packing. However, the time you save setting up is nice. The top has a rain fly. But it’s an open netted area at the top of the tent. So when colder weather camping time comes, it doesn’t hold the heat well. We tried using a space heater and it didn’t hold any heat in. We used it during a terribly rainy camping trip and we stayed mostly dry, other than a few areas by the windows that started to get damp. Lots of room for our family of 5 to fit all of our bedding and suitcases. All in all a good tent. ... show more

  • Great tent/great buy
Color: Green
Went camping for 4 days and encountered thunderstorms every night. Had to set up in the dark while raining and it took about 5 minutes. The tent held up extremely well with minimum leakage. The only spot it did leak was by the windows facing the winds. Extremely breathable tent ideal for warmer temperatures. Fit 1 queen bed on one side and 2 cots on the other side with everything else in the middle. It has spots to attach lights in three locations on the roof. Zippers held up with no snagging. ... show more

  • Nice and spacious
Color: Green
I bought this tent because it said it was so easy to put up. It took 3 of us to set up, but only a few minutes time. One had to hold up the middle while the other two extended and locked in place the sides. It is nice that it has separators inside if needed. Myself and two teenagers each had our own room. It rained the night we took it out, and we remained nice and dry inside. No leaks. Folding it back up took a few minutes as well. It was almost too big for my needs. But easy to use. ... show more

  • Perfect set up
Color: Green
We used this on our last 4 day camping trip at the lake and was the perfect setup. It was easy to set up and we were done in 10 min. We have the 12 man tent and had two twin air mattresses and two folding cots with plenty of walking room. We had steady rain the entire day and part of the night with winds blowing 10-12mph, absolutely no issues. No leaks and tent stayed in place. I like the design and how easy it is to set up, so much I’m looking to buy a smaller version of this. Will definitely recommend and buy again ... show more

  • An honest review
Color: Wine
I purchased this tent to get back into camping after 8 years. I have very mixed feelings about the tent, so I will offer my opinion of the pros and cons. First the pros: Shipping was fast. It arrived within a short time of my order. The tent can be set up quickly and without a lot of work. The attached poles are a pretty brilliant idea. The sheer size of the tent is amazing. I can stand up fully to change clothes. That is important to me since I have a bad back. The ability to open so many screen windows and get the fresh air flowing, it was like sitting in a screen room. The open air ceiling allows the stars to be viewed from the comfort of your sleeping bag. That of course means you aren’t using the rainfly. Cons: The day it arrived I set it up in my driveway, just to make sure all the parts were there. There was a three corner tear in the rainfly. It also appeared dirty and was packed rather oddly shoved inside the folded up tent. Day 1 of our camping trip when we opened up the tent I saw a gold colored screw come tumbling down the tent. Luckily we saw it. After a search we found the bracket missing the screw. This was at the center bracket and if we hadn’t found the screw and it’s placement, we could have easily broken the tent irreparably. With a Phillips screwdriver on hand, I figured easy fix. Nope, the screw went in the space and just turned freely. The brackets are all plastic, so it was over tightened at the factory. The only solution is going to be to get a bigger screw that can completely pass thru with a nut on the other side. Unfortunately, with an exposed nut, you run the risk of tearing the tent material. This is the deal breaker for me. Day 2: As others have said in reviews, it is mostly waterproof, mostly. The second night of our camping trip we had a fantastic mountain thunderstorm. Just a torrential downpour. The fabric was 90% waterproof. I can see streaks where the water soaked thru the waterproofing. The four inside pockets, yeah… they leak. They allow water in at the seams and that water flows down the pocket and drips. Everything in the pocket gets wet and everything below the pocket gets wet. Luckily we had read this in a number of reviews and didn’t put our phones in them. Can you imagine ruining your devices because you used those pockets. They should just be eliminated. Sleeps 12? No way. Not unless you stack people like spoons. Maybe sleep 8 comfortably. Customer service seems like they genuinely try to help. When I discovered the tear in the rainfly I contacted Core thru the 800 number. I had to leave a message about 48 hours later they returned my call informing me they would be sending an email asking for further information, regarding the torn rainfly. After a short exchange, they claim to have sent me a new one, but I haven’t seen it yet. When I was unable to reach Core, I contacted the seller, Spreetail, thru Amazon and they were quick to reply and send a new rainfly. The package arrived fast, but it was the WRONG part. They sent a divider wall. I contacted them again, verifying that I sent the right part number. They have sent another package, but it hasn’t arrived yet. Honestly, this hasn’t ruined my camping trip, but has sure left a sour taste in my mouth with this tent. Maybe I am just out of touch, but $400 for a tent seemed like a lot. I expected better quality for the price tag. I needed this to be a long lasting tent to be able to be used multiple times. I didn’t see a $400 tent as a disposable item. I will be reaching out to Amazon and the seller for a refund. Just too many problems. Update: August 4th, 2022 Core customer service called to let me know that the rainfly was out of stock. The customer service representative was kind and offered something similar. I told him I was already seeking a refund thru Amazon. He told me he understood. I cannot fault Core’s customer service representative, however, the fact that the rainfly was not in stock is very concerning. Either a lot of parts are needed or they don’t stock replacement pieces. Update: August 9, 2022 I wish there was a way to give Spreetail a review and not the tent. I received another package from Spreetail and it was heavy. A lot heavier than it should have been. I opened it up and to my surprise, they send me every extra part that wasn’t connected to the actual tent. In other words, the package contained, the rainfly (which was the torn part) and the support pole for the awning front/back, 2 interior walls, the stakes, the guy rope tie downs and another tent bag. They really tried hard. Unfortunately with the screws falling out of the spine of the tent frame, I just don’t trust it. I sent ALL of it back today. I waited on purpose for the package from Spreetail to return it. Only fair that I return everything and not just part. I am waiting on to hear back from them about the refund. Again, I give their customer service big points for trying so hard. Update: August 12, 2022 Again Spreetail’s customer service is great. They refunded me almost immediately after the tent arrived. Thank you. I would by from them again, just not this brand of tents. ... show more
