We did not have to remove any filling because the pillows felt very comfortable as is. The gel memory foam is so comfortable that we finally felt we slept through the night and got a good night sleep. The price was great for a set of 2 pillows. Decent quality and filling. It’s not too thick or thin. One side is cooling with a silky feel and the other is soft. My 7 yr old son likes it. He gets hot and wanted a cooling pillow. Most of those are super expensive or so thick his neck and head are at an odd angle. I didn’t want that and this is the right thickness for support. It did smell a bit funny out of the packaging and it had to ‘inflate’ a bit. It is kinda small though. It’s really a toddler size for about a 3 yr old IMO. Still works. ... show more

These pillows are amazing and an amazing deal. I was skeptical when I unwrapped them because they got them really flat, but I put them in the dryer for about 20 min on low heat and they fluffed right up. They are not too firm and not too soft. Really really good product.
