  • The only hose worth buying
Color: Black Size: 25ft
TL;DR: This is a buy-it-for-life hose. But it's heavy. If that's a problem, I'd recommend getting a different one. If heavy/robust is fine, your search is over. We just got this 25' hose for our front yard. It handles the duck pen and is long enough to hose off windshields in a frost and supply our pressure washer for the rest. I chose it because Continental is an actual rubber manufacturer with experience making rubber that tolerates all seasons (there's a pun in there if you squint). It's heavy, and it sticks to concrete like a tire. But here's the thing.. It doesn't leak, and it doesn't kink up unreasonably -- or at all if you store it out of the weather. We don't store ours. It's going to sit right where you see it until we move. I'd recommend getting a swivel, because while it's not rigid, it is robust. There's no flow restriction and the fittings on it aren't like the competition's ridiculous, oversized nonsense you can (and I have) crush with your work boots *on accident* while walking through the garden section of a store. They're tough, boot tested, and as big as they need to be. No bigger. This hose isn't a waste of money. If you're able-bodied, it's the only one worth buying. If you're impaired, worried about crushing delicate plants, or work with it extensively, multiple times a day, get a lightweight cloth hose. The cloth hose will leak after a few years (or less), particularly if it freezes with any water in it. But there's no shame in getting something to suit your needs. This one will hang in there 'til you run it over with a lawn mower. Then you just cut out the damaged section, use a brass hose barb and some stainless hose clamps, and you're golden. You can finally stop buying gimmick garden hoses. Fair winds and following seas to ya! ... show more

  • Great Hose
Color: Black Size: 100ft
Purchased to replace a 20 year old hose that was damaged. Considered repairing, but figured it was time to replace. I am extremely happy with the new hose. Excellent value, solid construction, brass fittings, and zero kinks. I fully expected to get 20 years from this hose. Best of luck!!!

  • Rubber Hose
Color: Red Size: 50ft
I am not too fond of the plastic hoses. I had another just like this one, and I needed more length, so I bought another just like it. I don't know why I originally bought the version for hot water. I use it as a common lawn/garden hose. Anyway, it works just fine. The flow is good. It sometimes kinks, but it only takes turning the end of the hose to make the kink go away. There is no lasting evidence of the kink having happened. ... show more

  • Good quality
Heavy-duty rubber and not hard vinyl like most garden hoses. The ones that will fold over when kinked and don't go back completely round. Hopefully it will last a long time. It sure seems to be well-made. I tried some of the expandable dudes at 3 water spigots at my house and was loving those. Lightweight and like handling a rope. The ones that expand when water pressure is applied. Problem is, the thin expanding membrane concept causes them to burst. Had two blowouts on those within a year. ... show more

  • Very soft and flexible - but that might not be what you want
Color: Black Size: 100ft
In a nutshell, I recently donated a Sears Craftsman hose I inherited from my parents (so about 40 years old) and I'm rethinking my decision. It was stellar - bulletproof and reliable. Because Continental is renowned for making great rubber products I bought the 100 ft "heavy duty" hose, thinking it would be as sturdy as the Craftsman. Unfortunately, it is so soft, pliable, and twists more than a GoGo dancer on a Saturday night that I regret my decision to give away my 40-year-old hose that felt substantial. Only time will tell if things settle down but I don't think so. Even when the hose is filled with water and "charged" with pressure, it twists. Sure, I know I have to work the hose to untangle it but this is where the regret creeps in. I didn't have to with the old hose, because I think it was stiffer and had thicker diameter walls. That said, I think the new hose will outlast me so that is a plus and if it lives up to the brand name, then it's all good. I'll just have to enjoy the workout I get untwisting the hose. If you made it this far, yes, I laid the hose out straight to "relax" it but because it's so pliable, it wasn't necessary. "Out of the box" it is straight as an arrow up to the point you walk it out from the coil. ... show more

  • heavy duty garden hose-excellent for garden and home
Color: Red Size: 50ft
Super kink resistant and extremely durable. Best value for money when it comes to a heavy use hose. Buy these and you can throw all the other hoses away.

  • Great Hose so far
Color: Black Size: 100ft
So far this is a Great hose. It's is made of the same material as tires. The hose does not kink as much as other hoses, its a bit heavy, but sturdy. I love this hsoe.

  • Good rubber hose
Color: Red Size: 50ft
Bought my first one in 2021. It really does stay soft and flexible no matter what the weather. Like all hoses, it will kink when taking it off the hangar and stretching it out. It just doesn't stay kinked. A couple of twisting flips and the kinks go away. After buying many houses over the years, this rubber is the only way to go. ... show more
