  • Should have known about this years ago.
Perfect tool!!! It gives the user total control of the speed of the machine. Easy to install, ten minutes. The needle position sensor makes life behind the machine tons more efficient! Perfect for beginners as well as seasoned life long sewers. It is so quiet that you absolutely can not hear it run. A must have for all commercial sewing! I've installed this product on all of my machines, Addler, consew, juki and singer. ... show more

  • Used video help from YouTube
The 40+ year old clutch motor on our industrial Bernina 950 burned up. My tailor-son recommended a servo motor. My husband needed to watch Jasonofalltrades “Dump the clutch motor” video a couple times but he had no trouble installing this motor. These first two months of use have been a dream. I love that it is so quiet. The instructions included were not significant so Jason’s video is key to the install. ... show more

  • Great upgrade
Excellent upgrade to a clutch motor or the CSM500 servo motor. The motor is super quiet and comes with all necessary hardware except a belt. The motor control is very precise and inclusion of needle position sensor makes for a great addition to any industrial machine. The motor controller box was a newer version then the one pictured. It has the four buttons allowing direct change between needle up or down without using the cryptic menus. The instructions included leave much to be desired as expected but describes control functions. Treadle pedal down lifts the foot when needle down is set. It doesn’t drop the needle if in needle up. ... show more

  • Stepped Speed Control
This motor is very cheap compared to other servo motors, is extremely quiet and produces a lot of torque at low speeds, but.... 1. With the controller set to the lowest speed range, the slowest the motor can be made to run is 200rpm. 2. No matter how finely the speed control lever arm is moved, the motor rpms only change in 100rpm increments. 3. There are no instructions for setting up the synchronizer. ... show more

  • Poor instructions
This motor is pretty intuitive to replace if you have any mechanical skills and very basic tools. It’s pretty much a bolt on replacement, with some alignment finesse needed. The pedal connecting rod provided is way too short. I ended up buying some rod and rod ends to fabricate a longer one. Unless your table is built for a toddler, you’ll want to build or order one. My table is pretty much standard and required about 22” in length to connect the pedal to the motor actuator lever. I was disappointed with the motor controller instructions, which were sparse at best. There are several settings that aren’t explained at all. I played with them and my machine wouldn’t stop untill i hit the power switch. That said, there is enough information to help you adjust the max speed, direction of rotation, and needle position. I just wish they would explain the other settings because I suspect there is some great functionality that I’m missing out on. All things considered, I’m happy with the purchase for the price. Great value if it has a significant longevity. ... show more

  • Perfect control
Industrial sewing machines are amazing, but 10,000 stitches per minute (yes, you read that right) was much more than I could handle. At a fraction of the size of a clutch-style motor It is better balanced, quieter and more easily controlled. On my industrial serger torque isn't a concern, but speed is. However, on my walking foot booth are concerns. At all speeds, but especially low speeds, the torque is vastly improved. I can punch thru nearly anything that I can fit under the foot. The best upgrade I've made for perhaps anything I've ever owned. That is saying a lot, I'm an old guy who has been upgrading stuff since adding RAM to my Atari 400 in the 80's. ... show more

  • Frustrating
Zero instructions made this motor difficult to install. In the end I found a video on YouTube that helped. I had to drill holes all the way through the top to install the bracket that holds the machine, so if that is a deal breaker for you, don’t get this motor. The motor itself is very quiet which is a huge improvement over the clutch motor it replaced. I needed an extra pair of hands to hold it while I attached it to the bracket. The needle positioner looks used ( like it’s been pried open) and it’s useless because I have no idea how to install it. I don’t even know if it works or not. All in all a very frustrating experience. ... show more

  • This servo motor really works good as claimed on my Juki sew machine, my hoby!
The media could not be loaded. I liked it for my sewing repairs, projects! Specially canvas sewing!
