Before anyone else makes my mistake, note the specifications! The hemming swirl thing is a very specific tool for specific machines. This product page has a couple of different hemming tools and some may work for your sewing machine while others won't! So don't buy it just because someone said "It works for my Singer Heavy Duty!" Think, WHAT works? I have a Singer Heavy Duty (idk what model) and I saw someone say that "it works for Singer Heavy Duty, so I assumed they were referring to the swirl hemming tool. I was wrong. The swirl does NOT work with all Singer Heavy Duty sewing machines. Check out my photos, my SHD does not have screws in front of the foot, it has them on the sides, makes a huge difference. Now the tool itself is splendid, I fanengled it into the proper spot and with some effort on my part in keeping it straight, it hemmed things beautifully! So, it works! IF it works with your sewing machine. Now, I don't want to return it because it was my fault, so I think I will gift it to my seamstress friends who may have different models of sewing machines. :) Long story short, read the description carefully!!! ... show more

Some days I feel like I am seeing the wonkiest seams and this has helped me so much, especially then. Have been able to have consistently straight top stitches. Have had zero problems with it staying as it’s a super strong magnet. Took me a few times to get adjusted to the seam allowances, but I just did a few trial runs and made myself a scrap as reference for placement. I really like how easy it is to use - magnet is pretty powerful. Had issues with the magnet slipping from alignment. Not sure if vibration of machine was causing. If I didn't watch it, my seams became crooked. Other than that - it works great.

This is a strong magnet and does not move easily when you are sewing. The price was great. I wish I had known such a product existed- I would’ve bought this years ago. This is so much better than the Post-It note I used to use. No more wonky stitch lines. Straight hems at last.

There were no instructions included, so I googled the product. My foot plate did not have a screw to secure the roller pressure foot, so I taped it in place with painters tape. To my surprise and pleasure, it worked great! I made barkcloth tablecloths, and the roller foot worked well with this heavy fabric. I have seen others use them in classes... they are no way near as big! It appears to work fine on my Janome 6700P. I will test drive it tomorrow and if it doesn't work out, I'll be posting about that! Price was great, so keeping my fingers crossed.
