I have these set up in my office on each side of my desk. It is a 5 foot desk and the 6 foot speaker wire was just long enough to connect the speakers. I was able to get stands separately for the speakers in order to make more room on my desk, I didn’t really have room to set these speakers on, but you can put them on a shelf or a desk or table. I haven't had a CD player in years so I was super excited to get this thing set up and start listening to some music I had forgotten about. Set-up was super easy and the compact design fit nicely on my small bookshelf. The antennae seems ok; I pick up about 10 stations but it's not set up near a window. I will say I have yet to figure out how the station pre-set works. I just scan until it gets to one I want and then scan again, but I have not really figured out how to lock in the stations. ... show more

No matter what I do, the speakers won't turn on. I've used different outlets, toggled the power switch off and on, short pressed the power button, long pressed the power button, pressed the remote control power button, and there is absolutely no sign of life from these speakers. They are gorgeous but with zero functionality, so they are oversized paperweights. I was so looking forward to replacing my old computer speakers with these beauties.
