It needed a fair amount of lube on all moving parts before using it. And the hook clasps are pretty loose. We just removed them as they are just in the way at this point. We didn't have a way to test the full 11,000lb capacity, but it did pull a garden tractor uphill with no problem. It does work as it should. All in all, if the clasps were tighter and the whole thing came lubed and ready to go it'd be perfect, but I docked stars since we had to maintenance it first. ... show more

Using it's two-hook snatch block, it might not pull more than around 40 inches, but it’s rated for an impressive 11,000 pounds. That’s more than enough to lift my skid steer off the ground, and it gives you an idea of just how powerful this winch is. Using the single hook system, you would get almost 8 foot of pull length. The dual gear system ensures smooth operation, and the included 1" x 8FT lifting straps could be used as tree savers if you are pulling a vehicle out of mud.
