I recently used the Columbia Dome Tent for a camping trip, and it exceeded my expectations. This 3-person tent performed exceptionally well in a range of weather conditions rain, sun, heat, and cold. The setup was a breeze, taking just approx. 10 minutes. The unique pole shape provides ample height inside, and the tent features great quality-of-life additions like a shelf above the door. The bottom of the tent is a tough, durable tarp that extends up the sides, ensuring excellent protection. Bought this tent (6-person version for our family of 4 plus dog) last summer and waited a whole year to review after testing it out a few times. It is so easy to set up, spacious, and effective against the elements. One morning we woke up to rain but were completely dry, and did a nice job of keeping us warm despite the desert winds. Durable and spacious tent, went on a camping trip for 3 days, 2 days it rained pretty much non-stop, not a single drop in the tent. Lots of space inside, we fit queen and twin size mattress, along with a pack and play and still had plenty of space for out stuff. The wall pockets are really handy. Pretty easy to pack back into the original bag. The cons: No owning, so as soon you open the door rain gets in, and a double zipper for the entrance would be nice. Easy to set up, my dog (Mr. Pickles) and I were caught in a windstorm over Christmas and the tent withstood the winds and kept us both warm and comfortable. I’m a high school teacher who’s not getting any younger, but I continue to go on week-long camping field trips with my students. This has plenty of room for the concessions to my age and job - I sleep on a cot and I bring a lot of clothes so I’m fresh(er) through the week and prepared for any weather, since we don’t get to choose our timing for when we go. At 5’8” I can almost stand up in it, which makes dressing much easier than in my previous tent with a lower profile. Has held up for a couple of these trips and seems in great shape. It’s quick for me to set up without help so I can get back to attending to my group soon after arrival. Only feature it’s missing for me is loops on the interior to clip things on - I always string a clothesline inside my tent to air out things I’m rewearing, and I’ve had to jerry-rig this. ... show more

Bought this for my wife and two kids, used it all summer and it held great up in rain, sun, heat, and cold. A breeze to set up, lots of great quality of life features like a shelf above the door, nice and tall on the inside because of the unique pole shape. The bottom is a tough and durable thick tarp that comes up along the edges. Only thing to remember is that it doesn't have a cover on the outside door, so you'll have to keep everything inside your tent. Also, the carrying case is bigger than it needs to be. You can fold it up nice and compact, but the tent will slosh around in the satchel. It's maybe a bit heavy for backpacking but not too bad either. ... show more
