I followed the instructions and was amazed at how professional they looked. Wow. My nails look and feel as if I spent hours at a nail salon. This product was great, and exceeded my expectations. Working with the glitter in this kit was easier than the solid colors, so I would recommend starting with that first to get the hang of it. My only complaint is that this kit does not come with any type of brush cleaner, and it MUST be purchased separately. In the time it took for me to finish all my fingers, the brushes on the second and third steps had already clumped up and hardened, making them unusable. However, I went to my local beauty supply store and bought lip brushes that actually work better in my opinion for application. I would also recommend getting some more substantial files rather than the block that is provided in the kit - I don't see it lasting very long, and you can use a higher grit file to make it less time consuming. I don't know how long these will last, but so far on day 2 they are going strong. Make sure you apply a GENEROUS as mentioned layer of step 2, and I would also recommend watching youtube videos to see the application technique in action before starting it yourself. I had not previously had these done at the salon with dip powder, so this was all new for me, but it was overall quite easy. ... show more

This was my first time ever with dip nails. I thought the whole process was really easy, and that they turned out great! The reason I have it 4 stars instead of 5, is that when I put the gloss brush into the brush cleaner it didn’t do anything at all - the brush stayed hard. I tried to gently work at the brush with a dry paper towel and the entire bristle of the brush fell out! So, I had to use the brush that came in the brush cleaner. Hit the same snag on my second hand...brush got hard as I was applying my last gloss coat and the brush cleaner didn’t soften it at all, so my final coat isn’t as smooth as I would like it to be. I’ve never had dips before, professional or DIY. I just followed the instructions on the box and had these beauties in 30 min. Can now see I should have buffed my ring finger more, but it was easy to use and super cute. Edited after removing - came off easily. I used cotton balls, acetone and clips. It took about 20 min and lifted off. I had to have my husband put on the clips for the last 3 nails. I had them on for 5 days and had to remove for work. ... show more

This was a great kit starting out. But I started to have a problem with my brush getting hard. The brush cleaner works to soften it, but as soon as it goes back into the bonding gloss it's hard again. I was trying to wipe the brush off and the whole brush came off the lid. That was an easy fix until the brush came off the stick. Now I can't get it back together and can't contact the seller to see about replacement brushes so now I have brush cleaner and bonding gloss that is unusable! ... show more
