Was so excited when this tent arrived (4-person Skydone with the full fly vestibule) that we couldn't wait until our next camping trip to set it up - so we pitched it in the garage the night it came. Long time Coleman gear fan and this tent absolutely doesn't disappoint. The highlights: - Sets up in 5 minutes - seriously. Might take a couple of extra minutes the first time you set it up, but the pre-attached poles are clutch; as is the color-coded rain fly. - 20% more headroom indeed. This tent is replacing another 4-person Coleman tent with standard headroom volume. The new one is noticeably more spacious, particularly around the edges of all four sides. - Full-fly vestibule at 8ft x 3.5ft. I thought this looked cool, but it's also so very functional. it's so nice to have an area to de-shoe, store materials, or even hang out in for a bit if you encounter some unexpectd precipitation. I'll be honest...I think I'm in love with this tent. Coleman - shut up and take my money!!! ... show more

    • Withstood some fairly high winds

We purchased this tent after looking for something that would keep us a bit warmer in cold weather camping. This worked perfectly! Since the rain fly extends farther down than on other tents, it kept winds out of the tent. We did need to use a small space heater to keep the chill out (temps down in the 40's overnight). We especially liked the "alcove" feature, as we were camping in muddy rainy conditions, and it gave us a space to remove our muddy boots before entering the tent. One thing I will note: while away from camp, there were apparently some very strong winds that tore through camp as it upended and broke two canopies that had been staked down, along with affecting the pole support on another camper's pop-up camper. This tent? You wouldn't have even known that high winds went through by looking at it. We did have a canopy over the top, and fixed a tarp on the backside plus a bit around the sides to provide some wind/rain protection. Oh, and no leaks at all. Overall - very happy with this tent, and when we need a little more protection from the elements, will take this one along. ... show more

I purchased the Evergreen 2 man tent. First, I set it up, the first time, in my backyard, in approximately 20 minutes, by myself. The attached poles made it the easiest tent setup I’ve ever had. My second time setting it up was at its inaugural trip. I had it set up in 10 minutes tops and my friends were rather jealous as they continued construction of their tents. Second, two adults could only fit in it if there was nothing else in there. Fortunately I bought it for myself. I got a fairly good size cot in there and my dry box (tote) and was very pleased with the room I had. The rain fly detaches easily for great night viewing and the little foyer was another feature my friends commented on. Third, inside height is good. Allowed me to stand although some what hunched, but it’s taller than I expected. Lastly, the tent came down with ease and when done right, actually fits bag in its bag!! We camped a week in 90 degree temps. Tent fan is clutch thing to have. Second trip I took I set it up in the dark with a headlamp and had it up in 15 minutes tops. I was incredibly happy with the tent overall and my friends, who are more seasoned campers than I, really loved it as well. Well done Coleman!! ... show more

    • Big Tent. Lots of space. Kids loved it!

Took this tent for a weekend camping trip, which was also my kid's first camping trip and they loved it. -Lots of space inside. - I fit a queen size air bed along with a comfort cot from REI inside and still had lots of space for a family of 4. - Good amount of headroom when standing. I did not experience any bad weather so I am not able to comment on the durability but ventilation was good. - It did not feel stuffy or humid inside. - It took me about 20-30 mins to figure out how to put it together the first time and about 15-20 mins to take down, fold up, and put back in the bag. I do like how the poles are already attached and its basically "plug and play" scenario so if there was 2 people putting it up, I can see it being a 10 min or less setup and take down. The only con I would say is that the clips that hold onto the poles felt like they can break easily. I mean, nothing that a zip tie can't fix but still... Other than that, so far, the tent is great, it was comfortable, and easy. Highly recommended. ... show more

After reading the one and two star reviews I was very worried about the quality and design of this tent - once I received the tent and put it up I realized I should have been more worried about the abilities(?) of the other users. Difficult in a slight breeze? Stake it down properly! No privacy? Use the rain fly and secure it properly! Not big enough? Read over the dimensions! Water got in? stake down the rainfly so the water runs off and away from the tent. Sometimes nature overpowers our equipment - that's why we have houses. Tents are for fun and will never be 100% waterproof. Some people are common-sense proof. This tent is great, sturdy, and good quality. Very easy to put up as a single female using the 4-man tent. Two poles for the tent and one for the vestibule. VERY easy. ... show more
