When choosing a tent always remove one person of the allowance of people that the tent recommends. this gives you more room and area for you bag's. 2. Choose a tent that bet fits you size and needs. I'm 6'4" so I like space for me to stand and a place for my camp cot. So the 6 Person Sundome with a 6ft center height, a 4 Person Sundome has a 4' 11" center height. The 3 Person Sundome has a 4'4" center height. The 2 Person Sundome has a 4' center height. 3. These tents are simple a easy to set up. Take your time when setting up. Speed will usually result in something broken. While setting up remember as much as it is sunny out there your tent rain fly has the UV protect built in. So as much as its nice to have you tent open to the stars its a must to keep the rain fly on the tent during hot / sunny weather. Without the rain fly the tent will break down faster. When placing your rain fly on make sure you staked down all the points of the rain fly. When you have staked down they give your tent the proper flow of air which keeps your tent cool during hot or cold weather. 4. These tents are what is considered to be 3 season only which means Spring, Summer, Fall if you are looking for a tent that is winter or snow you want a tent with the rain fly to come all the way down to the ground. Like the ( Coleman - Hooligan; 3 - Tent ). 5. These are not considered to be backpacking tents but many people have used them. If you want to use it for Backpacking separate the load with someone else. 6. The tent pegs are metal which work fine for most of the time, but better to pick up some heavy duty tent pegs which take more punishment in harder ground. 7. Bug spray doesn't belong on or inside the tent. It will remove the WeatherTec protection on your ten with would allow your ten to leak. 8. Remember Think about where you plan on going tent camping. Most State Parks only offer a 12' X 12' Tent space so it you have a tent that is 14' L X 8' W X 6' H that means your tent will be 2 ft over the camp spot. 9. Warranty is one year but my 3 man Sundome tent has lasted me 12 years. It will last longer if you keep it clean and well maintained. If something breaks understand Amazon will replace it under first 30 days after that you would go directly to Coleman. The Poles are made of fiberglass so remember they aren't designed for trashing on or playing with. Our first tent was an enormous Montana 8 person tent that used 6 poles and took 45 minutes to set up properly. Our second tent was an instant double hub dome tent that had permanent poles that kept flipping upside down making it impossible to set up. (We returned that one.) This tent, however, is no-nonsense. Two poles to put the tent up. One extra pole to hold the rainfly up. We put the tent up in a Florida thunderstorm in less than 5 minutes. We took another 5 minutes to set the 7 guy lines. I didn't get the opportunity to spray and seam seal the tent since it was raining, but it did not leak through some very powerful Florida rainstorms, except for a few drops around the electrical port zipper. Seal that part especially. The tent moved around and shook through some rough ocean wind, but remained intact. The tent is tall enough to stand up in (6ft tall) with room for a queen sized air mattress and tons of space for your stuff. We had a cooler, a big box fan, and two pieces of luggage in there with room to spare. I would say it's perfect for 2 people, comfortable with 3, claustrophobic with 4, and you'd have to be desperate to fit 5 or 6. There is a port for your electrical cord. Two pockets are attached inside, and a welcome mat was included. Taking the tent down was just as simple. Just fold in half twice, then fold into thirds and roll up. It fit right into the bag with no problems. Easiest tent I've ever dealt with! I'd recommend a 10x10 tarp to go under the tent and a 10x20 tarp to go over it. There are two huge mesh panels on the top of the tent, which is great for ventilation, but bad for sideways rain that can sneak under the rainfly. I put the tarp longways over these vents and it kept out the sideways rain but there was still plenty of ventilation. There is a hook at the top to attach an LED light/fan. It was fantastic for warm/hot weather camping. Might be too much ventilation for late fall camping, though, unless I can figure out a way of blocking those mesh panels.
