This series of reviews highlight the strengths and weaknesses of a versatile camping tent that is suitable for festivals, camping trips, and outdoor adventures. Users praised its ease of setup, spaciousness, and innovative features like the "dark room" technology and screened porch area. The tent appears to be durable, weather-resistant, and offers good ventilation and privacy options. However, concerns were raised about the quality of the materials and the design of the rainfly coverage.

Should I Buy It?

Yes, if you value ease of assembly, comfort, and innovative features like the dark room technology and screened porch. It's particularly recommended for casual campers and festival-goers. However, if you’re an avid camper planning to use this tent in varied and harsh weather conditions, you might want to consider the potential need for additional reinforcements or explore options with more robust materials and comprehensive weather protection.

  • Perfect for outdoors and festivals
Style: 6-person
The "dark room" technology is great for camping where you will be exposed to direct sunlight, such as at a music festival. It fits within a 10' wide space and underneath a 10x10 canopy (if there's no frame in the center). Avoid sidewalls to maintain good air flow - this blocks the sun well enough without additional sidewalls on a tent or around it. There are large vents on the main structure which are covered by the "rainfly." When you use the tethers to properly lift the sides, you get a slight separation between the two pieces which allows for great airflow and shade. The front and side vents are closable with zipper flaps. Set it up so one side faces East and keep that flap mostly closed to block the sunrise. The back has the largest vent - keep that side unobstructed. The porch is perfect for setting up a blowup couch or chairs. You can leave shoes & sandals there so as not to bring dirt into the sleeping area. Super easy to setup with 1 or 2 people. Breaks down into an easy to carry bag - great for storage. Even though it's a 6-person tent, it's great for 2 people on a queen blowup mattress plus luggage, clothes, even a cooler. Tall enough to get dressed in for most people. Durable and flexible enough to survive strong wind gusts (desert nights). Just stake it down on all sides. There's a plastic ring on the center of the ceiling - hang a lantern from it with a carabiner for late night hangs. 6/5 stars. ... show more

  • Easy to set up, great starter tent!
Style: 4-person
The media could not be loaded. I’d give this tent a 4.5 stars. This tent was very easy to set up, less than 10 minutes mostly by myself. We set it up in the backyard before taking it camping to make sure there were no tears and to get a general idea of the size. Overall, it is a very good starter tent especially for the price. I hope it will hold up well over our next several trips. Pros: -Easy to set up -Screened patio is great for gear storage -Can fit two double air mattresses or one queen with some wiggle room -Looks great, good overall quality -Held up well in a southern rainstorm Some things to know: -Backside of the tent is just a bug screen. If you want any privacy, you have to set up the rainfly which completely covers the back and limits airflow -Limited number of pockets/hooks for gear inside the tent (only two small wall pockets) -Front screened patio has no rain protection -The tent seemed very taut on the poles, I am slightly worried about tearing in the future. Despite these few negative features, I’d say this is one of the best tents at this price range on the market. ... show more

  • 5 days camping with weather
Style: 6-person
So, I have to say I like this tent for the design and price. I chose this tent for weekly camping trips with my adventure cat that also enjoys glamping. The enclosed porch holds a travel cat tree, food and cat box, shoes, lots of odds and ends, even a chair at times. Its super convient and easy to clean with the mesh drain Inside is fairly big and I loved standing up but I wouldn't share it with more than one other person. It would feel cramped with more. Now the quality of the tent is lacking. I read the reviews and knowing about the complaints I made adjustments on how I set the tent up. First, the fast pitch part was ok. Im 50, female and set the tent up alone. It took me about 30 minutes because I was watching my cat explore the woods. I first I noticed while I was attaching the clips to the poles, that the seams were poorly sewn. They were pulling the threads too tightly and I was worried that they would tear. Also while bending the poles to sit in the 4 corner posts they creaked and moand to the point I thought they would snap but they did not. Inside the tent many, seams just didn't match up, many were off by 1/2 to an inch, so no matter how perfectly the tent was set up, it puckered here and pulled too tight there. It looked off and sloppy, it also let daylight seap in. The dark technology was kind of a joke. (I dont care, not what I bought it for) Maybe its the rain fly that has the technology because I had a very small glow stick sitting 5 feet from the tent and where the tarp didn't cover, I could see the glowstick light. (A small cheap glowstick) it appears to me that only the window coverings were extra dark. The rest of the tent was just a normal tent. The fabric is of the sheerest material, very cheap. There were numerous runs in the materials, letting light come in. It also came in around the pole/clip seams outside. I recommend getting flex tape or something similar and several pole splints. How I set the tent up. First, I didn't bother with the rain fly. I knew it would rain and I was expecting high winds at least one day and people have complaind about the sewing on that, with wind ripping it. So, I used an 11'x 16' foot tarp and made an a frame over the tent with it. I used guy lines to anchor it securely. This achieved fixes to several complaints. Firstly, it was now rain and wind proof, when I had 35-40 mile an hour gusts and it rained hard 7 straight hours, the tarp took all the abuse. The tent wasn't tossed around, damaging the material and poles or getting wet. Secondly, there was no issue with condensation. I also added a tarp under the tent (not peeking out anywhere around the sides) and a ground tarp inside the tent. This protects your tent from tears but also assists in keeping the tent floor and your personal items nice and dry. Results, the entire tent stayed bone dry, even the porch area was dry. I was pleased with it overall but it will take extra work to protect it and your valuables. The last night of my camp, was beautiful out, I took the tarp down and watched the stars from bed. It was awesome. It's rough overall but with care, you can probably get a few years out of it. ... show more

  • A solid tent, worth it.
Style: 4-person
It’s a solid tent. Quick set up, easy to understand and a pretty spacious inside. Definitely waterproof, it rained all night and we stayed completely dry with the rain fly on. I really like the little screened in “porch” area. During the very hot, humid, buggy weather of the Florida summers any screened in area is invaluable. It also kept our stuff more organized and inside without taking up sleeping space. The screen in area also has drainage for easy cleaning and another way to keep the inside dry. Really pleased with it. Most tents aren’t set up for warm weather camping (we are in Florida) so I appreciate the sun/heat blocking material. My only issue is the rain fly doesn’t cover all of the little screened in porch area so the sides of that particular area can get a little wet if it rains. however that is a small detail and it’s only the sides, most of it is covered. Overall really satisfied, good price for what you get, would recommend. ... show more
