This tent is amazing! There is so much room. Joe is 6' and could stand with room to spare. It's nice to get dressed without having to stoop like in our dome tent. We fit the Intex Dura-Beam Standard Series Deluxe Pillow Rest Raised Airbed w/ Soft Flocked Top for Comfort, Built-in Pillow & Electric Pump, Bed Height 16.5", Queen, our large gym bag type suitcase, on one side of the divider with room to spare, our 3 boys in sleeping bags and the Coleman 50 Quart Performance Cooler with lots of room to walk around in. The closet held their 3 and our 2 backpacks, shoes, and the closet bar was sturdy enough for me to hang grocery bags that held games and coloring things for the boys in easy reach. We didn't try out the mesh netting simply because we didn't need it. When it rained in the morning, we picked up the boys' sleeping bags and brought our 2 Coleman Oversized Quad Chair with Cooler inside and hung out until it stopped. The tent stayed dry even with the windows down in the light rain. I'm sure had it been a harder, more sideways rain we would have needed to put the windows up. The fly hangs over enough to keep the rain from dripping in to the windows. The sides are slightly angled to help with this but that doesn't take away from how much room there is. There are so many windows. The top is almost completely netting and had rain not been in the forecast for the next day we would have left off the rain fly. No leakage through the fly or walls. And like most of the Coleman tents this had the tub bottom which helps keep standing water out. Just make sure you pick up your feet. All of us forgot and there was a little bit of tripping happening. Thankfully, no one was hurt. There is a detachable divider with a mesh top and solid bottom portion that zips up or you can tie back for privacy to change or for sleeping. The only problem with this is that the plastic ring in the middle that the divider attaches to can't easily be used to hang tent lights without a little modification. We got around this by using some 550 cord to loop up our light to keep it out of the way of the zipper. Our light is pretty light (ha). I wouldn't recommend using a D-cell lantern. The closet also has a "door" that velcros together, but we just kept it tied back. The door system is nice. There are poles to slide into the on the hinge side and the opening so that you can swing it open and it will shut behind you. Great if you have kids so they aren't messing with the zipper constantly while they're going in and out. Just a little tip, there's an extra zipper on the opening side so you can more easily slide in the arching pole. We set up the tent for the 1st time at the campsite in about 15 minutes. The next time, it should take about 1/2 the time, since we now know how to do it. The directions aren't the most well written, but since all the poles are attached so they snap together and are color coordinated it's relatively simple. 2 people are definitely better than 1. Attach the top hub portion (looks a bit like a spider) and clip in the tops. Attach the colored taped poles to the pvc elbow tubes. Then on either long side, pick the larger poles and attach to the pins on the bottom. Pull taught and put in the stakes. I don't think we had the closet quite right, but the poles to hold it up go on the outside of the tent, and the very short pole goes in the clips on the inside. The rain fly attaches both by velcro wraps around the wall and roof poles, and with plastic hooks that clip to metal triangle rings on the poles. These were enough that we didn't need to stake down the guy lines that are attached to it. Had there been a stronger wind we again would have and I have no doubt they would have held up well like our Coleman dome tent. We will be getting some seam sealer and spray water sealer just to be doubly sure that there won't be any leaks, just like all our tents in the past. But I have all confidence that even if we didn't it would stay leak free. We had no issues getting the tent, poles, stakes, fly, divider, and mesh shelves to fit back into the rolling storage case that it comes in, but that might be from years of practice rolling up our dome tent to fit in the bag. We did probably mix up which poles when in which bag, but that's not a big deal. It's not a light tent but we didn't have any problems lugging it around, and the wheels help. This tent will be with us for a long time, lots of room to grow, and when the kids want to use their own tent, we'll still be using this for all the room to keep gear in. ... show more

  • Two bedroom rambler with views.
Style: Contemporary
Two bedroom rambler with views and walk-in closet - bathroom not included. First, I did not receive this for free or at a discount. I paid full price, and loved it so much I felt compelled to write a review. This is a great tent. We are a family of four, and we all love camping. We have a queen mattress and two smaller kid mattresses. They all fit in here easily. Space is definitely not an issue, as we also had a 3x3 kennel for our dog in here with us. Setup: Set up is actually really simple for a big tent. The first time I set it up was in the dark with my kids holding flashlights for me, which as much as they tried, the trees and ground was always more appealing to them than where I needed the light. I would say that the first time took me around 20 - 25 minutes, and that is in the dark. The second, and subsequent times have gone much faster, and with more than one person it would definitely be under ten minutes. Alas, I am usually setting it up by myself, so it takes around 15 minutes. Still not bad, as I have had smaller tents that took longer than that! There is definitely an order of operations. 1) Stake the tent down, and then begin with the center poles. 2) When doing the corner poles, remove the stake for that corner so you have some flexibility. 3) Everything else is pretty easy. Pros: The door - awesome, except there are three zippers (one for the D shape, one for the window, and one to open the door) and they have the same color rope on it, so the window and the D was unzipped a few times resulting utter chaos, no not really, resulting in having to zip it back up. What did you think would happen? The closet - we did not set it up for use with the shelves, because they are a great idea, but executed poorly. They sag too much. But we did use it for our clothes bags and camping bin. It is decent sized, and definitely makes the tent more usable for us. Windows - They do not zip up along the top of the window, so while they are great for privacy, and keeping you dry, it still allows air-flow through the tent. Do not read that as the house. err - tent, comes with air conditioning, because it still gets hot on a warm (not hot, but warm) day. Amazingly enough, it cools right down at night. One of the most frustrating things about tents is that they do not take themselves down. I am here to tell you that this tent is no different. You still have to take it down. However, you have to try really hard to not get everything to fit back in the bag, which is most frustrating to me. As a mobile home, it does not come with roadside assistance, however, there are videos out there that show you how to set it up. I suggest watching them before leaving home for the first time. Cons: If you have been paying any attention, you should know that I love the tent. But here you are looking for something to be wrong with it. Okay, I will satisfy your pessimistic side. - The zippers at the door are too similar, resulting in repeated failed attempts at unzipping. SOLUTION- I am going to change the colors on mine so we can tell the zippers apart. - The poles fit almost too good, so getting them into the proper places is a tight fit, resulting in occasional seam stretching, albeit minor. I would rather it be tight though, am I right? - It did not transform into a robot. Not that I was expecting it to, but you wanted some negativity, and it definitely did NOT do this. Tell me that wouldn't have been cool... All joking aside, it is a great tent and I really couldn't be happier. I will say that since I purchased the price has increased, and I am not sure if I would pay over $200 without comparing other options in that price range first. I was trying to stay under $200. ... show more

  • was great! except I couldn't figure out the closet.
Style: Contemporary
everything was well explained except the closet but that's okay this tent is awesome and super huge, I love the separator in the middle. we used it for camping and it was such a great deal. well worth the price. good quality. didn't have any problems with leakage. it stays really warm in there compared to outside if you have tarps under the tent top cover, that's how I like to set mine up. once I figured out now the middle part went it was quick to put up. ... show more
