Based on price I was a bit concerned about the quality, I was beyond pleased with it. this stuff is as thick as anything I could find at the big box stores and half the price. Installation was easy, follow the instructions and make sure you have several new and very sharp razor blades, the material is fairly thick and a rubbery like vinyl that will bunch up if the blade is dull. On the positive, the level of privacy is perfect and I can get all the light I want through my bay window without anyone being able to see in. Installation was tricky. I thought I could buy lengths that were shorter than my window and lined them up halfway. You cannot do that. You cannot overlap the layers. You have to absolutely get a roll that is wide enough to cover the entire window. It looks horrible when you try to overlap them or line them up next to each other. There’s a learning curve, but I finally got it. I used a box cutter, and a small plastic putty knife spatula thing. Don’t even bother wasting your time or money if you’re not going to get a squeegee or a putty scraper as most of the people here have said. I’m glad I listened to them because it would be impossible to do it without. At first, the application was flawless, with no bubbling or discoloration. But over time, these bubbles have shown up underneath of it. You can see them more in the evening, but I’m really unhappy with how they have turned out. Over about a month is how long it took for them to look like that. Looks the worst around the edges. ... show more

    • Set your misery tolerance on high

This product reminds me of trying to use Cling-Wrap while standing next to a fan. Pull the backing off, (the surface has adhesive on it) and static electricity causes it to curl up and stick to itself, unstick one corner and two others curl, or fold and stick together. Forget about it if the sticky side touches itself, it won't unstick. Absolutely miserable stuff to work with. Wasted half the roll but did get the other half on a window. Don't worry about getting any air bubbles out, worry about getting the wrinkles out. It is on but looks like hell. ... show more
