So I’ve used the product twice now. I honestly wish I had taken before and after pictures but I’ll share my experience anyways. Towards the end of Summer I noticed algae starting to appear on the shaded side of the pool. I tried boosting the chlorine, shocking the water, and algae fighting products and nothing worked. In combination with the chlorine tabs I also staggered it with clarifying tablets like I use throughout the Summer to keep the water balanced, but again nothing helped. A family member mentioned using alkalinity plus. They recommended 25lbs but since other products failed I just bought two to try it. By this time my pool was green. I emptied both 5lbs bags as soon as they arrived and ran the filter for 24 hours. 24 hours later the pool was crystal clear! I brushed the walls to clear any remaining algae and saved our Summer! One more if you’re still following along. I have a pet peeve about keeping the pool clean during the Fall and Winter as well. Once the leaves started falling here in Texas the water started turning green again. I purchased 25lbs knowing that this stuff really works and boom, water has been crystal clear and no algae has appeared. I absolutely will add this to my pool rituals along with my balancer tablets and chlorine. This is an amazing, Summer extending, making dad look like a hero product. If you have algae growth, green water, or just have a pet peeve about keeping that water sparkling then this product should be included with your regular pool maintenance moving forward. ... show more
