    • The clone king 36 site dependable….
I’ve grown to use the clone king 36 site from 4-5 year models back. The 36 site 2024 model, I ordered is an upgrade, with a bit more room in between the collars on the cloning table. That being said, the insert neoprene collars I received with this unit are thinner and much harder to pull out, as there are no collar lips sticking above the cloner table board. The water pump and manifold assembly are well built and spray great. The water pump mount needs to be super glued to the water pump itself, as it will eventually vibrate off the base….but, overall this has a 100% success rate..hands down…just a little tweaking..still love it ... show more

First try at propogating a couple of plants and 100% success on all of them. I took a couple of cuttings of various plants I had; lavender, clematis, thyme, petunia, tomato, kale, peppers and dipped them in rooting hormone and put them in this unit. This is 3 and a half weeks. I would 100% recommend this to propagate your plants. ... show more

    • Tomatoes rooted after several days
The cloner arrived in good condition and was easy to set up. I started tomato cuttings and several type of soft wood cuttings right away. The tomatoes started rooting within days and were very rooty after 1 week. I transplanted and 1/3 died and the others looked bad but are still hanging on. I will have to figure out how to avoid transplant shock better. However, while in the cloner, they looked fantastic! I got soft wood cuttings from six shrubs to see how the cloner would handle them. I picked different thicknesses and lengths. About half of the very skinniest (~1 mm thick) were the only ones that died. All the other cuttings lived. The ones that seemed to do the best were about 2 to 3 mm thick in diameter. One type of plant (I think it was mountain lavender) even started rooting after ~10 days! After 3 weeks, the cuttings were still alive and had green cambrium, buds and small leaves, although I couldn’t discern any callous. However, I didn’t see callous on the cuttings that clearly had roots so maybe callous formation is different when rooted aeroponically versus in soil. I did have to spray the cuttings with water for the first few days even though the seller said it wasn’t needed. To be fair, I was pretty brutal in cutting. I used kitchen scissors and not a razor, as was recommended. Even with my clunkiness, the cloner kept the plants alive. I’ve converted it to a aeroponic grower (it’s hard to get fresh veggies because of coronavirus lockdown) and am growing lettuce and strawberries under a grow light. They are doing great and getting big. The pump does warm up the water and it was getting too warm in the window. The temperature of the water measured at mid-day was 78.4F. I’ve moved to a cooler part of the house and am using a grow light and the plants seem to be doing better. I recommend this for anyone interested in cloning, because it works and is very easy to use. ... show more

    • Very Impressed and I am very skeptic!
I am just astounded at the durability of this machine. In reality I imagined it being flimsy plastic that would crack very easily, but I was way off. It is like 2-3x the thickness of a storage tote. The lid with the holes for placing your inserts in is super thick also and has a handle in the middle. The material almost kinda looks like fiberglass that you would find in the back of a car. It is ultra heavy duty. I am a very picky person especially when it comes to products especially with the economy hitting everybodies pocket. If it would have let me give more than 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I would have. Awesome product, worth the money compared to others I have looked at. Hope this review helps some skeptics out!!! ... show more

    • Better than expected !
Let me just say this cloner so far is great. Very easy to put together. They even have the spray emitters already screwed onto the manifold. I’ve used similar brand name cloners for years in a professional setting and am very experienced with them. What I am the most happy about is that the sprayer is MUCH gentler than the cloners I’ve used prior, and because of this there’s less room for damaged stems and roots. Not only that but I’ve had experience with other cloners where the water overheats from the motor and causes bacteria growth. In the past I’ve had to change out ice packs twice a day to prevent this. So far I have had it running for several days straight and the water isn’t even warm ! My only complaint is that the foam pucks don’t slide into holes with ease, you really gotta squeeze/push them in which is very annoying when cloning/cleaning. Aside from that though this cloner seems to work better than the expensive brand name cloners out there. Definitely worth it for the price. Even if the pucks are slightly too big for their holes lol. I will come back and update the review if anything goes wrong after using it for prolonged period of time. ... show more

My first time ever cloning and 35 of 36 cuttings have roots after 12 days. It's as simple as place the cuttings in the slots, add water and turn it on. I went with some clonex solution but it says it's not needed

    • It works well, there are some caveats for real performance
To be fair they say you don't need any ph adjustments or nutrients. I waited 2 weeks and had no results. I believe milage may vary depending on tap water quality. But! I did find the following method to be extremely effective. I put, 10ml clonex 10 ml hydrogen peroxide 1ml each of advanced nutrients ph perfect - grow, micro, bloom per gallon and a rather large air stone attached to a 3.5 watt air pump and BLAM root city. Like roots for days. I very much like this product. I've left the clones in it for a few weeks now. I've topped the reservoir off twice using the same recipe above. I haven't checked ph, or ppm. just keep topping off. They keep growing. This method has been very effective compared to other methods ive tested. Filling this, use an empty 1 gallon water jug and fill just below the red nozzles. If I recall was about 3 gallons give or take. If you cover the red nozzles they won't be able to spray up onto the cuttings. ... show more
