This may be the 6-7 one I’ve bought in the past 3 years because they do unfailingly tear within 1-3 months, but I continue to buy them because they do prevent spills/liquids from reaching the couch. One morning my cat peed on two hats that were on the couch and though the hats were SATURATED, nothing reached the couch- not even the smell. I have to keep furniture covered here because two of my cats lately pee where they shouldn’t. I know. Get rid of the cats. I’m considering it. In the meantime, these hold up exceptionally well to any spills or cat pees. Above is the one I currently have and have had for roughly 4 months. I’m on now to order another one. I am sure a lot of the tears are from us sitting or laying on the couch with the plastic still on it. This is not a negative review. With two kids, us using the couch, and/or taking or putting the cover back on the couch, the cover has been through a lot. And it is great in keeping any liquids from reaching your couch which, in my opinion, is the biggest point in why we cover furniture with plastic anyway. The seems began opening up. Not rough on the product or anything close. Very careful every time when I would remove and put on. So it began splitting open. I’ll have to fix.

I am using it as a rain protector. Decent thickness. I don’t really think it would hold up against a cat’s claws but a small dog’s claws it would.

I purchased this in my battle against bedbugs in my family room where I sleep on the couch because of my back. Our sofa is huge and this fit but not well. It fit well enough that I didn't get bit once after putting it on. They don't make anything large enough to put the leg feet in. This wasn't overly expensive. After about 2 weeks it started tearing at the seams so i purchased gorrila tape and taped the tears. I used this for about 3 months. After removing it i got bit once.     • Good but can rip with heavy use
I have two pretty young dogs who like to barrel in to the couch so after a while it has ripped in the cushions area, BUT it has worked perfectly to stop my cats from scratching the sides and back of the couch!

I had bought this item back in 2021 along with one for my living room chair. I purchased it because I bought new living room couch and chair and didn't want my two cats scratching at them with their claws. Over the past 2 years, they have held up very well. However, they have started to tear and my cats are now able to get through the plastic with their claws. My feeling is, they have worked well for the two years and didn't find them to be that expensive when I originally bought them. Today, I have purchased replacements.
