  • Wiring easily broke, but pumps great
Liked the fact that it pumps, pumped at approximately 150' total height uphill approx.3.'hooked up to smooth 1"PVC, use maybe once a week for about 1 1/2 years but have had to fix broken wires at inlet of wires at entry of pump motor, but the last time it was used motor is completely without power, it's been sitting for 3 months shall take apart housing and hopefully an easy repair....to be continued....also I not a wreckless person as pump has very easy care and covered and not disassemble but maybe 4 times, if cannot get working when return to fix, not sure if buy another but most likely shall, as it pumps well when it was working... ... show more

  • Not so clean dump … leaky dump
It saves time, cut weekly dumping time in half. I dump 5 tanks from a permanent RV 60’ to the septic. The loss of two stars is because it leaks a tiny bit at one of the seals and I don’t know where to get replacement seals. The leak started after 3 uses. I googled the manufacturer and and they show the seals on their site but no online order form. I used the contact info to ask them by email if I could order them but got no response. Disappointing. It would be nice if they offered repair parts here if they don’t have customer service. In the mean time, I use it with a catch pan under it. I collect about a pint from dumping 5 tanks of 30 gallons each. So it’s a small leak and the unit works, but I would prefer it not to leak. UPDATE: Found the leak. It was a crack in the plastic barb that you attach the 1” output hose to. Discovered when the entire barb FELL OFF. I could take a picture of the broken barb, but someone else already posted the same thing. I bought a less expensive unit as a replacement. It’s not as fast, but unlike this one, the on/off switch is more than 12” away from the pump, so now I can stand up while it’s running. ... show more

  • It does pump!
Does a good job performing a disgusting task, but talk about expensive! I just hope it'll last several years with normal use. It does pump my 40 gallon tanks 100 ft to the sewer. However, the motor heats up, and the thermal overload relay kicks in and stops the pump, so I do the black tank, then wait 20 minutes to do the gray tank. I like the alligator clips and the 20 foot power cord that reaches under my motorhome and into the battery bay. I placed the power toggle switch on a concrete block, so it doesn't lay in any rain puddles. If you have to pump a distance or uphill and you have the money, this is worth it. CAUTION: The instructions say it processes waste and toilet paper only and they mean it!! We thought our biodegradable wipes would be fine. WRONG!! Disconnecting and unclogging one of these units is about the nastiest task you can imagine. So, don't do that!! Also, if it quits working, before you go buy another pump, check the inline 20 amp auto fuse. It's on one of the alligator clips. ... show more

  • Stopped Working
We were so excited to find this solution for dumping our tanks 125’ away. It worked great all summer, and then after about 4 months of regular use the nozzle that connects the macerator to the hose broke clean off. Shortly after that, the motor just stopped working completely. The company is unresponsive, I’ve emailed and called several times to ask about replacement parts and haven’t heard back. Going to purchase a cheaper brand with a warranty instead of dropping $300 twice a year on a new pump. ... show more

  • Pumps great at 60 feet
I bought this unit mainly to use when using the camper at home. The home sewer line clean out is 60 feet from where we store the camper. This unit easily pumps the tank contents over level ground through a 1" hose 60 feet. I would imagine it would not have a problem pumping 100 feet over level ground. The other reason I bought this is for when we camp at a site that does not have a sewer hookup and the dump station is far from the campsite. I have one of the blue totes that I use to drain the tanks and tow it to the dump station. One site we frequently camp is Edisto beach which does not have full hookups. The dump site at Edisto is about 1 mile down a sometimes busy highway and it gets scary sometimes towing the tote down the highway at 10 mph with traffic backing up or zooming past. Now I can keep the tote in the bed of the truck, pump the tank contents up in to the tote and drive at the speed limit to the dump station. Overall very happy with the purchase, we'll see how long it lasts but it seems well made. ... show more

  • Works great but the toggle switch wires break easily.
The unit does everything expected but the wire connecting the toggle switch breaks easily. Buy an extra switch or plan to straight wire it in less than a year.

  • I have a camper that I really like (Cirrus 800} but of course
This turned out to be the solution to a nagging problem that made boondocking in my truck camper always problematic. I would always narrow my preferences in choosing a truck camper to ones with a cassette toilets, because they allowed for camping without needing to find a dump station. The problem was that there is a very limited selection of truck campers that come equipped with one. Now, I have a camper that I really like (Cirrus 800} but of course, it has holding tanks and no cassette toilet. I knew that you can access the clean out to the sewer line at your house, but the clean out where I live sits at a higher elevation than the driveway and there is no way to park the camper at the same elevation - it's all up hill. I didn't think there was a solution to that problem until I started reading about it and found this product on Amazon. I just came back from a 2 night stay in some woods with 2 full holding tanks as I had been out previously and had filled the tanks some then. I had anticipated going to a state park soon, but had been getting tired of being dependent on making reservations at a state park just for the convenience of dump stations because they have lost their appeal to me awhile ago with their reservation polices and the general noise and crowds. The Clean Dump had come in this last week, so I was ready to try it out when I got in this afternoon. I followed directions connecting an extra 20' of hose to it so it could reach the clean out above the driveway. It worked like a charm and was able to pump the contents of both holding tanks up hill into the clean out without any problems at all. I now feel that I can expand where I want to go without needing to worry about dump stations anymore. ... show more
