This turned out to be the solution to a nagging problem that made boondocking in my truck camper always problematic. I would always narrow my preferences in choosing a truck camper to ones with a cassette toilets, because they allowed for camping without needing to find a dump station. The problem was that there is a very limited selection of truck campers that come equipped with one. Now, I have a camper that I really like (Cirrus 800} but of course, it has holding tanks and no cassette toilet. I knew that you can access the clean out to the sewer line at your house, but the clean out where I live sits at a higher elevation than the driveway and there is no way to park the camper at the same elevation - it's all up hill. I didn't think there was a solution to that problem until I started reading about it and found this product on Amazon. I just came back from a 2 night stay in some woods with 2 full holding tanks as I had been out previously and had filled the tanks some then. I had anticipated going to a state park soon, but had been getting tired of being dependent on making reservations at a state park just for the convenience of dump stations because they have lost their appeal to me awhile ago with their reservation polices and the general noise and crowds. The Clean Dump had come in this last week, so I was ready to try it out when I got in this afternoon. I followed directions connecting an extra 20' of hose to it so it could reach the clean out above the driveway. It worked like a charm and was able to pump the contents of both holding tanks up hill into the clean out without any problems at all. This was our second time purchasing, but the first one lasted several years being used almost daily. Very powerful motor. I would recommend.

    • It does pump!
Does a good job performing a disgusting task, but talk about expensive! I just hope it'll last several years with normal use. It does pump my 40 gallon tanks 100 ft to the sewer. However, the motor heats up, and the thermal overload relay kicks in and stops the pump, so I do the black tank, then wait 20 minutes to do the gray tank. I like the alligator clips and the 20 foot power cord that reaches under my motorhome and into the battery bay. I placed the power toggle switch on a concrete block, so it doesn't lay in any rain puddles. If you have to pump a distance or uphill and you have the money, this is worth it. CAUTION: The instructions say it processes waste and toilet paper only and they mean it!! We thought our biodegradable wipes would be fine. WRONG!! Disconnecting and unclogging one of these units is about the nastiest task you can imagine. So, don't do that!! Also, if it quits working, before you go buy another pump, check the inline 20 amp auto fuse. It's on one of the alligator clips. ... show more

    • Absolutely a must have!
This kit is awesome! Me, my wife, and daughter are living in our 5th wheel camper while our house is being built. We have been in the camper for 4 months and use this kit to empty the black tank and 3 grey tanks. It has worked flawlessly. It has never clogged and chews through solids like a champ! I was very skeptical because of the 1” discharge line. I thought there is no way it won’t clog up. I wish it came with more 1” line because it’s very expensive. I have a total of around 80’ of 1” hose and most of it is up hill and this pump has no problem pumping at all! I highly recommend this product! ... show more

    • Company needs to provide adapter from 1 inch to bayonet fitting for us dry campers!
This really needs an adapter with the bayonet fitting so you can dump it in a portable tank. When we finally got it to work, it was great. Unfortunately, it was delivered with very loose fittings in the wiring. None of the shrink wrap was attached and the wires pulled apart. So that was a mess. Still working on getting it to function correctly. No way will I try to return it since I already used it once. Beware, the wiring may not be right when you get it and you might need to redo it all. I am no electrician so this is a big learning curve. Pretty disappointed but I'm keeping it because I have hope that I can figure it out. If you are electrically inclined, you might just get the pump and figure out your own wiring. It would probably be cheaper. Also, had to run to the hardware store in a high mountain town and they helped me figure out how to get from that 1 inch drain pipe into an adapter that I could then affix to a three-quarter inch garden hose adapter and then attach to a gray tank bayonet fitting and that finally worked. Of course that's when I learned that the portable dump tanks don't necessarily have a good valve to release the air. At least I learned to watch it before it exploded! Ahh camping.     • pump failure
I bought this system in August 2018. I was very impressed with the product, the simplicity of installation, and general performance. We have used it four times when emptying our RV tanks and it worked great until today. It blew a fuse. I replaced the fuse and it blew it again. I replaced the fuse again and the fuse did not blow but the pump will not run. I used the manual screw on the bottom of the pump and turned it with a screwdriver but the pump will not run. The return window is closed. The manufacturer says it is warranted for 12 months but that it must be returned to the vendor. Since it is a used sewer/waste pump it is considered a biohazard. I need a new pump, this one is still under warranty, but I have no way to return it. ... show more
