    • Works as expected; DO NOT lose the sealing ring!
This is a very different review from what I thought I was going to write. First, though....my husband uses a blender every single day to make his "bulletproof" type of coffee. It doesn't have to be fancy, but it does have to work correctly every time. So last night I unboxed the blender and thought I had it all ready for him to use. What I did not see, though, was the sealing ring, which had fallen to the bottom of the sink during washing. Due to its grayish color, it didn't stand out on the chrome background of the sink. Once hubby started filling up the blender this morning, I saw right away the water was leaking out as fast as it ran in! We fiddled and fussed, and didn't see a drawing of the sealing ring in the guide book, so we thought one wasn't included. However the troubleshooting guide did mention a sealing ring - at that point we knew to look further OR contact the seller to provide the "missing" one (it wasn't missing). Once we did find the sealing ring, everything else fell right into place, and the blender works just as designed. One thing to be aware of is the method for "locking" the blender container to the base. Pay attention to the lock/unlock graphic. You will need to seat the blender and then TURN it to the left to lock it. And then reverse the process when you are finished. This is different from most blenders I am used to, but that's okay too. It's just another process to learn. But the lesson to be learned from this story is: DO NOT LOSE the sealing ring! And yes, it's a fine blender. I really like this blender for the price. It's rated at 700 watts, which really surprised me as it's a lot quieter than I expected for a 700w blender. I like that the pitcher is glass and not plastic - it feels substantial and won't soften in the hot water of our dishwasher. I'm not crazy about the blades being permanently attached to the base of the pitcher; it feels like we won't be able to get it as clean as we would if the bottom disassembled. The blender works great! The glass container is on the small side, but just a little smaller than the large ones. There’s 5 settings for blending at speed, depending on what you’re using it for. The blades are sharp and fast. The unit has a secure top that seals into place. No leaks. Cleans easy. And the price is very good. ... show more

I am impressed with the overall quality of this blender. I have been using a ninja blender for many years despite the cracked plastic lid. Comparing these two blenders, this is a more traditional blender with the rubbery plastic top that will probably live on as long as the blender does. This blender has four smaller blades at the bottom, so I was skeptical as to how well this would blend as compared to the ninja I am accustomed to. With multiple blades. I have to say, this blended up a smoothie in seconds, leaving no big pieces behind. The major con with this machine is that you have to hold down the button while blending. This is, however, a small sacrifice to have a decent working blender that is powerful and easy to clean. I would recommend this as a great value blender. ... show more

    • Nice compact blender for most jobs.
I needed a blender for smoothies and this one does the job. It has several speed choices and for the most part provides a smooth drink. I have noticed that when it is almost full, the top is not pulled down to the blades well and requires a spoon stir to get it going. The other thing that I worry about is that the slot you turn the out part of the blade into is made of rubber and sometimes it takes a try or two to get both sides locked in. These issues are easily overcome with a little effort and the bottom line is that this blender meets my needs. I don't look at prices but I'd be pretty sure that the savings in the cost is worth the user participation and caution. ... show more

I have a variety of food processors, mini mixers, personal blenders, etc. The common problem with them is durability of the plastic. This blender is made of glass, ensuring it's durability in the washer. It has good power and is a great price.

idk if I’m just used to those mini personal blenders, but this seems very powerful. I’m impressed. It’s really good quality and the blades are really good at breaking down ice /etc
