Product was simple enough to put together, I was a little nervous at first because the box had some slight damage and tore open exposing the chair, but all was intact and in good shape. Quality when assembled is sturdy and comfortable. The ottoman doesn’t really stay in the track due to the width of the ottoman being a little short and the pegs don’t really stay in the tracks. You need to just move it carefully. I think with hardware that is longer the ottoman should be fine. Another little thing is an adult won’t be able to slide the ottoman back in while seated due to the flex in the seat. You need to get up to stow the footrest. Overall I’m keeping it. They are nice looking and fairly comfortable without any cushions so no worries taking in cushion when you see clouds. ... show more

I ordered the teak color of this Adirondack chair, which is made of a high-density polyethelene plastic material. It has a woodgrain pattern molded into the pieces for a natural look. While the assembly instructions are limited to simple diagrams, all of the pieces are labeled and the hardware kit is as well; making identifying which bolts to use etc. fairly straightforward. There is only one size for the nuts and washers, so that makes it easier to grab the right parts. It appears that the bolts, nuts and washers are stainless steel (I can't be certain), which will help a lot with eliminating rust from outside moisture. The attachment holes are countersunk, reducing the possibility of scraping yourself against the hardware. All of the componenet pieces have rounded edges and fit together precisely without any gaps. The dual cup-holders are really nice, durable and swivel under the armrests when not in use. The only assembly caveat is the ottoman, which has two bushing-glides which I drilled out a bit to make the bolts pass through them easier. Once assembled, the chair is comfortable and very sturdy with no give at all - even for a large person. Really nice product and great, weatherproof design. ... show more

When I received this chair, I was pleased to see that it arrived in only a few large pieces. I had been worried every slat would have to be attached separately. This wasn’t the case. And I was relieved. However, the very first step is poorly explained and illustrated, which makes it extremely difficult to figure out. I had to assemble and disassemble that part of the chair three times before I got it right. Not an auspicious start. Luckily, the rest of the assembly went smoothly, and once that first step was out of the way, it didn’t take too long to finish the job. When the chair was complete, I needed a rest! So I tried it out. It’s a pretty comfortable chair, well-built and sturdy. Because the material seems to be some sort of composite wood, I think it will last a long time out in the elements. at least I hope so. I like how it folds up, making it easy to move about the yard. Just remove a couple of pins and you’re ready ready for folding. It’s quite intelligently designed, and makes it much more convenient than lugging around a full-size chair. If it weren’t for the frustrating first step, I’d be giving this chair five stars. As it is, I give it four stars and can still recommend it. I hope you’ll have less confusion with step one than I did. ... show more

This is a very nice Adirondack chair. It provides a bit more of a reclined seating position than the other Adirondack chair I have, and I actually find that more comfortable, so I'm quite pleased with this. It does fold down to a shorter profile, but it's a bit awkward to unfold it. I think that I may have tightened the bolts too much, but I don't really need to fold it, so I'm fine with it. it had a strong plastic/chemical/perfume odor when I first unboxed it. It's slowly fading away and now just smells faintly like soap. Assembly took just under an hour using the provided tools and doing everything by myself. I could have probably finished the job faster with my own tools or with some help, but I wanted to see how long it would take with what was provided. ... show more

This is acomfortable chair and a nice addition to our back patio. You do need to assemble it when it arrives, using the include nuts, bolts and tools. It was no harder than putting together furniture from the large swedish store with the blue and yellow logo. It took about 30 minutes to fully assemble with my wife deciphering the instructions and myself doing the actual building.
