Putting it together was easy based on the easy to follow and well laid out and labeled instructions. It was delivered fast and packaged extremely well. I looked at a lot of fire pits before purchasing this one and I am completely satisfied with this product. Oh, and it is easy to light with a classy silver knob. There is also some storage under the fire pit with the propane tank (open the side door which has a magnet to keep it closed). A nice surprise also was the fire pit top that comes off when using the fire pit has a hanger on the back which can easily & nicely be attached and hung to the side of the fire pit so it does not get in the way &/or lost. Was looking to replace my old firepit that just stopped working and came across this one. I didn’t want to spend a lot so I was at first attracted to the price. The size was perfect and exactly what I needed for my outdoor space. It’s got a great heat output and the style compliments my patio furniture nicely. This comes shipped in a box and requires assembly but it’s so easy to put together. Instructions are clearly written and easy to read. I put it together by myself, closely following the directions and it took about 45 minutes. Once built, it’s a pretty solid piece, does not look or feel cheap. I wanted to give 5 stars but I’m giving 4 because it was so difficult to light. I read the users manual and it was not helpful. It mentioned something about removing and then putting back the battery on the igniter. I was so confused because the manual that came in the box with the pit made absolutely no mention of a battery. I also read the Amazon reviews, searching for any helpful tips but was still not able to resolve my issue. It was frustrating and I was so worried I’d have to take it apart and send back for a replacement. I ended up calling Amazon service and was connected to the manufacturer. Luckily they were able to help me. Turns out the igniter on this pit is a little weird and it’s made like that purposely , kind of like a safety feature/child proof. When lighting, turn it halfway to the left (counter clockwise) until you hear the click, and then you push the knob in and and hold it down for a few seconds and sure enough, it ignites!!! I feel like this info should be included in the product description and also in the users manual. ... show more

Easy to follow assembly instructions but after I finished I realized there was a defective part. I contacted the manufacturer and they promptly sent me replacement parts to make it right. I’m so surprised! Wow. We love our outdoor patio with a glowing fire. Easy to assemble, just turn the switch and lounge by the fire without a wood pile and the worry about accidentally sparking a fire in the canyon. If you live in a fire zone, you can once again enjoy. So romantic.
