I bought this bed for my granddog who is getting up in years and has developed some hip and leg problems. When it arrived, it was in a vacuum sealed package. It took a couple of days for the bolster to finally expand to the full size. Once our dog laid on it, she hasn't wanted to sleep in any other bed.. From time to time she will lay in her " old favorite bed" , but she always abandons that one to come back to her new bed. The product info says it is a calming bed. I agree. Our dog seems to sleep better and has more peaceful slumber than ever before. Even my son likes to lay on it with her. As for durability, I can't attest to that as we've had it about a month, but it appears it will hold up over time. It's probably time for us to wash it, but we can't find an appropriate time slot because she is in the bed so much. The bed seems to give her so much comfort, we don't have the heart to deprive her of her favorite bed. I definitely recommend this bed. It comes in several sizes. I purchased the large. She is a medium sized dog and it gives her the option of stretching out or curling up. ... show more

My 100-lb Bassett loves his Christmas present. It is very plush and soft (even I want to just rub my face against it all day). The cushion section is very sturdy and seems like it will hold up over time...but it's still "comfy" and cushions nicely (just the right give). I've bought some that just feel like they shoved a pool noodle in there. This is NOT like that. The body part is just a single-thick section of fabric. It's thick and strong (my husband drug it across the room with the sleeping dog on top and it didn't tear...btw, still not something I would recommend trying with a 100-lb dog). If you have a "Anything on the floor is mine" dog like mine, I 100% recommend this bed. Pictures to show plushness and size reference (this is the xl size). The bottom part is just a thin blanket that does not provide any comfort for the animal. But placed on a bed it provides the comfortable backing that dogs like to snuggle their body against to feel safe. My dog loves curling up against the backing.

I was hesitant about this item when it arrived in a vacuum sealed bag, but it 100% meets our needs! My daughter moved back home with her 70 lb. dog and ugly blankets weren’t cutting it to protect the couch as we had to reposition them constantly. The high “arm rest” outer portion of this bed keeps our dog in the space we want her in while on the couch and she loves snuggling in it. It also has a lower flap that protects the bottom portion of the couch and matches our couch nicely. I haven’t washed the outer cover yet, but it’s 100% dog and human approved! The bed may be a bit then, but she doesn’t seem to mind. Easy to put on any surface couch, bed or on the ground and she loves the pillows wherever I lay it. She does Sally seem to enjoy that there is the pillow part of the bed on three sides, so almost all the way around so it’s worked great for us and very easy to clean. One review said it was a bit flat when they got it I took the chance and put it in the dryer for five minutes and it made fluffy it up a little bit and it was perfect and ready to go. This is a cheap quality product. The bolster is pieces of material that are hard, lumpy and separate. It is not fluffy and the bolster is almost as flat as the blanket. The material is also not the typical soft calming type of material on dog beds but a shaggy cheap material. This would not be comfortable or useful to my dog. ... show more

This is HUGE! I got a larger size because I have a big dog, and there’s enough room for her and a cat to lay on this together. It protects our couch well, and they love it. The only thing I would add if I could would be some sort of slip-proof grippyness to the bottom.
