  • Knowing How to access all the settings
Size: 52 Liter
This product is very useful. We have used it to sell eggs and milk on our farm and use a Jackery power supply to power the unit on. We put it in the shade so the sun won't heat up the cooler. If your outside temp is 80 degrees or lower the cooler will run at 35degrees F for about eight hours then the power in the Jackery will be dead. After using it for about six months we would go out and check on the cooler and we would have it set for 35 degrees and find it at 50 degrees and not running. Plenty of power still on the jackery but, cooler not running. Would try turning it off and back on but, still it would not start running. Completely un plug it and wait a minute then plug it back in and still would not start running. Only way we could get it to start running again was to slap the side of the unit where the controller is located. Had to do this about six times. For the last six months we have not had to slap it into submission for whatever reason it has just been working. One other thing we found was one day it was in Celsius mode and could not get back to Fahrenheit mode. The manual says nothing on this. So, when it is powered off press the set button and display shows E1. Keep hitting the setting button until you see E5 then you can change C to F or F to C. ... show more

  • Stuff to know
Size: 52 Liter
This freezer/cooler has great cooling...works well thus far...24 hours. Problem is, it isn't really optimized for storage. I like the compressor on top. It claims 13.2 gallons or 50 liters...I can tell you, unless you just fill it with water, it won't hold 13.2 gallons. An example, if you used gallon milk jugs, you might fit 6 inside with some space around the edges for other stuff. Looks to me more like 10-11 gallons at best. Also, the cooler I got wasn't made by Cho sports. It was some company named Massimo. Anyway, so far for what it holds, it works. edit: It has no interior light either...using A/C power, when compressor is on it uses between 48 and 82 watts (it goes up and down), when the compressor is off it uses 1.2 watts. After a few days there is a slight frost layer on the interior walls, that layer was there after 24 hours and hasn't gotten thicker 2 days after that. Frost is often caused by opening and closing the door frequently. edit: 07/29/2020 - Freezer still going strong on 24/7 in our place. We can't even hear the compressor unless we are next to it and everything else is off. So far, so good. To deal with the lack of an internal light, we bought a pack of stick on motion sensing lights (they sell them on Amazon, of course). Now when we open the top, the light comes on. Just make sure to stick it high up on the cooler wall so it doesn't get in the way. We'd much rather hook this up to our generator than a full size fridge during a power outage. Big savings on wattage. edit: 10/10/2020 - yup...still working. No issues thus far. edit 12/15/2020 - Still working great. 6 monthaversary. edit: 05/22/2021 - Still going strong. 11 months 24 hours a day in our home on A/C power. edit: 07/23/2021 - Working great...I've defrosted it 2x since buying it and the frost layer never got more than about 1/8th of an inch and then only where the coils are located under the freezer walls. ... show more

  • A truckers review
Size: 52 Liter
I got the 50l cooler and so far I love it. I'm a regional over the road trucker so I use this 6 days at a time in the truck as well as the night before at the house. I use this as a freezer because I already have a small refrigerator mounted in a cabinet and I like to keep my dinners frozen. The interior of the cooler is on the small side for the exterior size but considering its a freezer it's not bad. It fits nicely between the bunk and jump seat in the '18 Cascadia I drive which is standard company truck size bunk. I use Pyrex 6 cup storage containers and it fits 6 of those with plenty of room for other things. The lid only reveals about 2/3 of the top because the other 1/3 is all the cooling apparatus. My main concerns were that it would do what it says and that it wouldn't need constant supervision. My concern came from thermoelectric coolers I've used in the past that constantly had to be unplugged and fiddled with so the plug wouldn't overheat or the motor wouldn't seize. During my first week, I frequently checked the 12v plug and it was never warm. Even after hours of use. I have the temperature set to -4 and it stays between -4 and 0 degrees. That fluctuation doesn't bother me a bit. My "test" was to bring ice cream with me and it passed. Whenever I pulled the carton out it was rock hard. Not the most scientific test but delicious. At this moment it has been out with me on two runs so I can't vouch for durability. I really hope this turns out to be a great investment but only time will tell. I probably won't update this unless it fails on me so it's safe to assume it's been working well from the date this was posted. ... show more

  • Great Camping Fridge
Size: 52 Liter
This is a great portable refrigerator or freezer. The built-in wheels and telescoping grab bar really make it easy to get it to your camp or picnic site. Though it is only 35 or 36 lbs, I'm in my mid 70's and that is too heavy for me to move very far. I set mine at 39 F. and it stays between 41 and 35. I have a compact hatchback car so I can put it in the back luggage compartment and plug it in at the front with extra cord to spare. To lift it there are handles at either end (side). I car camp with it and put it in my tent powered by the a/c adaptor cord and a heavy duty extension cord plugged into the power box provided for RV's. It is quiet enough to sleep with it in the tent. The space inside the refrigerator is surprisingly large so it will hold a lot of food and drinks - 50 liters worth. The dimensions are as advertised 24" wide by 15" deep by 22.5" high. The compressor is on top and there is room underneath it - about 12" - for food. The only problem with this is that if the refrigerator is extremely full, the compressor blocks the top part of the refrigerator. There are no baskets inside but I'm going to see if I can find one or two that will fit which will make it easier to get at everything. ... show more
