Highly recommend for hot sleepers. My wife has always been a hot sleeper and would wake up sweating. This is expensive but will keep my summertime power bill lower and pay for itself because I can put my air back up to 73 or 74 now. Because it works very well. It does raise the ambient temperature in the room a little bit but not too much as to be uncomfortable. It uses the cool air in the room to cool the water running through it, she had it at 60 and turned it up to 68 and stays nice and comfy all night. Zero sweating. The cold water does not flow throughout the entire pad, leaving areas hot. The temperature is never cold enough. The chili pad is extremely expensive and I expected it to bring relief of night time heat. It's almost as if the water gets hot. It is too noisy for me, not something I can sleep through. I usually cool down the bed before I get in and then leave it on for a while to try to fall asleep but the noise inevitably is too noisy for me to sleep through. If it was truly cool enough I'd probably get over the noise but it just never is cool enough. I also tried it in the winter to see if it would warm up the bed before we got in but again the entire pad doesn't get warm so there's pockets where there's no temperature change.     • Sleeping good after 10 years of struggles and sweat

Spent a lot of time and money looking for a way to help me sleep. Short description, for the last 10 years I’ve been a “volcanically hot sleeper”, picture sleeping next to someone who feels like they just finished a marathon. I agree it was nasty so, Stumbled upon this little gem. Watched promo video and was like that’s me. Then I started reading the reviews, and even though I had already placed my order I was considering canceling based on the 1 month in people started having issues. I’ve owned mine 1 month running it at least 9 hours a day in the 50’s and it works great. I think some of the issue people where having have to do with how they maintained their units. Every week or every other week I change the water out of the units which typically helps with any cooling issues. I can’t really explain it other than after a week or 2 the machine will struggle to achieve temp so that’s when I dump the water out and refill it. You’re also supposed to clean it monthly so that could explain some of the other negative reviews. I did have an issue with one of the units not pumping water when I first got it but I lifted the machine above the bed and a syphoning effect fixed the issue with no noticeable issue after. As an average sized American male, I do notice the water lines but they don’t bother me, lines run from head to toe with 8-10” spacing, it’s actually better than I would have expected for comfort. Machines make noise but noise is negligible. My fan running in the other room is often louder. If you like absolutely silence do not buy. Wish remotes showed actual temp with set temp. Update:12/15/21 through the course of changing sheets I’m pad started to develop a leak. I reached out to chili and with in 2 days someone emailed me verified me and walked me through the warranty claim. I was honestly dreading the response, but nope chili made the process super easy, super painless, and if anything has made me a life long customer. You just don’t see customer service that good at this time of year in this kind of market. Two thumbs up to Mary the ‘sweet dreamer’ specialist who helped me. I could see how someone who is buying this product for luxury may find flaws but if your genuinely are looking for a reputable company with an affordable sleep climate control system because you just sleep too hot or cold, this is the product for you. I love it and I think any reasonable person would, unless you have a manufacturing issue which happen inwhich case talk to their customer service it’s easy and they take care of you. ... show more

    • Breaks down pretty quickly

EDIT: I ran a few cleaning cycles and the noise seems to have gone away. Now in the summer I'm really appreciating the cooling difference. Upped the review from 2 to 4 stars Unfortunately I have to echo what a lot of other people are saying about reliability. It works well for a few months and then things start going wrong. I tracked my sleep via fitbit before and after getting this thing over the summer, and managed to go from ~6 hrs asleep each night to ~6.5-7, which is a meaningful improvement and one I was happy with. During the winter I started seeing less of an improvement, probably because the ambient temperature is cooler already and I need the pad less. Now though, it's hardly usable, after about 4 hours it starts making such a loud noise that I wake up every time. The general noise isn't an issue, but it sounds like some pump starts malfunctioning after enough time on the cool cycle. This doesn't seem to happen on high temperatures when I run the cleaning cycle, but that's not very helpful. Buyer beware, there are quite a lot of reviews that mention the warranty is just short of the expected lifetime of this product. ... show more

    • Maintenance is easier than previous models

My old unit died. I replaced it with this. Now, I add the cleaning solution once a month, turn it to 70 for 20 minutes instead of hi for an hour. It is recommended to empty the mattress pad with the drain key 2ce a year. Makes sense. Easy to set up. East to use. I run hot, so in the winter I turn it to hi and get into a warm bed, then turn it off. I stay cozy all night. In the summer it cools me off. No more night sweats! Also, helps my arthritis and helps me to relax. I thought about getting a Bed jet, but I'm a restless sleeper and would probably dislodge the unit. This works for me. ... show more
