The media could not be loaded. I love the Chefman 1.7 Liter Electric Kettle! It’s sleek, efficient, and makes my daily tea routine so much easier. The removable lid makes filling and cleaning simple—no weird angles or struggles. It heats water quickly, which is a lifesaver on busy mornings, and the 360° swivel base makes it easy to lift and pour from any direction. The LED indicator lights are a nice touch, letting me know exactly when it’s ready without having to check constantly. If I had to point out a couple of minor flaws, I’d say the removable lid could be more convenient as a flip-top, and it’s a little noisy while boiling. We bought this electric kettle to replace another that made the most obscenely LOUD beeping every time a button was pressed, temperature was reached, or the water carafe was replaced on the base. This unit is wonderfully silent, and it is left to you, the tea- or coffee-making user, to notice when the water is ready. There is no temperature selection on this machine. It simply heats the water with a pleasing blue light illuminating the carafe until it reaches a rather impressive, furious boil, at which point there is a barely audible 'click' and the light goes out, indicating to the attentive user that the water is ready to use. The last thing I want to hear first thing in the morning is an annoying electronic 'beep', but this unit is mercifully quiet. Watching the bubbles reach a fever pitch in a soft blue glow is frankly mesmerizing, and the most entertaining thing I can think of in those foggy early moments upon rising for the day. ... show more

I like the glass spout over plastic ones. I was concerned it might drip but it doesn't. Plastic kettle spouts get white deposits on them even with relatively soft water. I like not having a spring operated lid, they get in the way and the spring can break making a nuisance. I'm liking the simple lid that pulls off for filling. I wish there were fill markings on both sides of the kettle not just the left side. I operate the tap with my right hand and I often pour with my left hand while stirring with my right then refill so it is in my left hand a lot when I fill it. It seems slow compared to 1500 watt kettles. It takes 10 minutes to boil the full kettle with its 1300 watts. I've decided that is a good compromise for me. The same amount of water takes 16 minutes in an open sauce pan on a 1300 watt induction plate. My house doesn't have a dedicated circuit for the microwave as required for new construction so I sometimes tripped the circuit breaker with my old 1500 watt kettle. Like my last few kettles, the base lifts sometimes so the cord comes out of its slot and it takes 2 hands to put it right. You'd think the makers would use a rubber grommet with an open side for the cord slot on these things. I may hot glue mine in place. I think the engineers in China must be men with servants since they don't address the annoyances like the cord slot and the markings. ... show more

Works well. Love the shape just wish the lid can open entirely for better cleaning. I do not care much about the light at the bottom wish they have an option to turn it off. I use the infuser a lot so it does work well. Pay attention to puting the infuser on correctly it's more of a slide to the slit and do not bend or squeeze. ... show more
