  • Heavy, solid guitar
I've been debating on getting this charvel being a huge Gojira fan. And I'm blown away. I play in a d standard (DCGFAD) and I use 11/48 strings. This guitar handles thick gauge strings with no issues whatsoever. I'm coming from a jackson with a floyd rose and this is a great switch. If you're looking for heavy tone, I highly suggest 11/48 strings. ... show more

  • This guitar is heavy ! Huge epic mahogany body with amazing sustain
Really nice guitar plays so well and sounds just massive! I have had the same guitar for 5 years and this was definitely an upgrade for anyone who's trying to get that gojira sound !

  • Awesome bang for the buck!
Well worth the money, the bang for buck was awesome. Really nothing to dislike. Yes, you don’t have true Duncan’s in there and yes, you can tell if all your other guitars have true Duncan’s then you play this. You can hear the slight difference. Overall, sweet playing, awesome guitar. You won’t be disappointed. ... show more

  • Marked down items could be missing parts or be damaged
The toggle switch was broken on this guitar when it arrived and it was missing a high "E" string. I ordered a new toggle switch and soldered it to the wiring for the pickups and volume and now it sounds great. I just wish the posting for an item that was marked down $200 actually represented what you were going to receive when you opened the box. Overall, it is a great guitar minus the work I needed to do to get it up and running, hence the 3 star rating. ... show more

  • Great Guitar
Beautiful guitar. Action is great. Love the tone.

  • Saddle bridge was misplaced from the factory. The guitar couldn't be intonated.
The low and high E couldn't be intonated properly. Even with the saddles all the way back and flipped, the fretted 12th was still a bit sharp. The stock saddle bridge has a 16mm Finding an after market one with more saddle travel and a 16mm radius is impossible. The stock saddle bridge on this guitar is the same dimensions as a Gotoh wide. Unfortunately it is not enough. Having the saddle bridge relocated is costly. Hipshot makes a "Tone A Matic" bridge with additional travel that solves this problem but requires filing to change the radius. ... show more
