Currently, this dock can be purchased from amazon for just $39.99 which I think is a great deal. Owing to the design of the Meta headsets it's impossible to charge in anyway other than the USB Type C port at the side. There is a cable attached that needs to be plugged into the headset which made me question the point of this charging station. However, whats really great about the charging station is that there are these USB Type C connectors that you just insert into the Meta headset and then magnetically it connects and charges like a wireless charger. You get 4 of them in the event you lose any. I'm likely not explaining it well but it's a very clever solution. There is also the inclusion of two rechargeable AA batteries for the controllers. I have lost count of the times I have had to buy new batteries, and stop using the headset. There are also new covers for the controller batteries compartments with charging points. Everything fits and works well, and I like the color changing light strip on the base of the station when it's charging. If I were to be critical of anything I would say the color of the plastic controller covers is not an exact match but at least you won't forget that these are not the originals. ... show more

This charger is awesome. One of my greatest gripes about using the Quest is because the battery never seems to be charged and ready to go when I want to play. So a lot of the time I end up not playing at all. With this charging station that's changed. The Quest is always ready to go and I'm able to play when I want. Not only that, the station looks great and it's easy to charge. The RGB strip looks great, and the led lights to let you know that the controllers or headset is charging is good to know. I wish they had included another cable with the magnetic ending so that I can connect that to my head strap battery bank too. I really like this station.     • Works with quest 2!
I’ve had such a hard time finding a dock that’s compatible with quest 2 that doesn’t fall apart, or lose the single magnet connector or only has controller storage, not charging. This was easy enough to set up, there’s extra magnet connectors, so if I lose one, it’s not *quite* gonna make me as annoyed. It works well, it charges me up from low battery warning to full in 2 1/2 hours give or take. Make sure when you put the batteries into your controllers to place them with the silver side up, so the connector pins charges you up every time you put them down. So far, not a single problem has been found, and now I’m ready to jump into vr whenever, and don’t have to worry about plugs, new batteries, differences in cable speed, and it’s got some pretty light effects going on as well. ... show more

    • Very neat setup
It works as you'd expect and charges the headset and controllers. I thought the way it does it was pretty neat. The headset gets a usb C plug with a flat magnetic tip on it that the base uses to charge it. Pretty self explanatory, I received 4 of these in the kit. The controllers confused me a bit at first. When you install the batteries it comes with, make sure the silver contacts are facing out. The replacement cover for the controllers has spring loaded contacts that have to touch these silver contacts in the battery to charge them. The instructions weren't super clear on this but once I stared it down a bit, it made sense. It's simple, it's elegant, I like it a lot ... show more

I very rarely use my oculus quest 2; however, whenever I plug it in it inevitably is uncharged or the controller batteries have worn out. I’m very impressed with the solution, because one gives me a regular place to put it (so it is charging when not being used.), it looks great, and most importantly it charges the controllers! I was very pleasantly surprised that this included a rechargeable battery and replacement battery cover for the controllers which is something I wish was part of the original controller design! This means I’m no longer fussing with disposable batteries and as long as I put the controller away it will be charged the next time I pick it up. It was very easy to unbox and set up and I think it looks great on my entertainment stand with the built-in lights and charging indicators. This is a great solution and I would definitely recommend it for anyone with a quest 2. ... show more

So this product does exactly what it says it does. You have rechargable batteries you stick in controllers and than a usb magnetic adapter you stick c type in oculus 3. The rgb lights give a nice touch. there are inficator lights that are blue when its charging, green when they are done. Its not ideal on some 3rd party head straps like the 1 in the pic but you can use them with it. Overall great product and would deff recomend ... show more

    • Headset charge is good - but controllers do not charge.
Nice charging base. However, the controllers do not charge on my phone not and I have heard nothing from the manufacturer. The magnetic attachment to charge is nice unless you need to attach a USB for other reasons - tethering to a PC or robot or external charging source - then the magnetic attachment is very hard to get out. The headset charge does well. The included rechargeable batteries and covers for the controllers is nice - but useless if the unit does not charge them.
