It was very easy to setup and I have a little cottage that I wanted to have some basics for cooking meats so I thought this would be a good choice. It was pretty easy to setup and once done I ignited it once to burn off any remains chemicals or anything that’s inside of the unit and once I played with the air flow setting and getting the right amount of charcoal in it, it seems to light up great. Everything is very nice . It’s the perfect size, easy step by step assembly and sturdy construction. Only problem I’ve had so far. Is finding a cover that fit this small Bbq pit. It a good value and makes me seem like a bbq specialist!

    • Assembly Required
My neighbor ordered this and had me put it together for her. Not as precise as other things I assembled. Had to slightly bend some brackets and even the legs. The instructions could have been better. For example, it didn't include a chart so you can see the different sizes. But if you're familiar with screws, you should be able to find the ones needed for each step. Took longer to put together than I anticipated and probably would've been better if two people did it. Unfortunately, she hasn't used it yet so I can't give an honest opinion. I'm usually the one who grills often, and the neighbors always ask what I'm cooking when I fire it up. It's a grill and seems like it should function as intended. Just have to pay attention to the charcoal you use and the vent settings. Also, it's a smoker so the firebox is on the side, thus the temperature of the cooking chamber shouldn't get that high. Only suggestions would be better instructions and more precise fitting of parts. ... show more

Overall this is a good grill/smoker for the price. We've used it 4 times but straight out of the box it had welds that didn't hold. You can see the gaps as we were putting it together. Wouldn't order again.

    • Very difficult to assemble.
Assembling this grill raised my blood pressure. The instructions were printed labeling the parts, nuts and bolts. However, the parts, nuts and bolts weren’t labeled themselves. This left the assembly to basic guesswork. There are also gaps in the doors to the grill and the smoker chamber, where air will undoubtedly leak. For the cost I should’ve gotten something with at least proper instructions. Not worth the money. Go to WalMart. Overall, would give it a zero if I could. ... show more
