  • Outstanding reception.
The antenna is currently in my attic with a 10db amp and I'm pulling in close to 70 channels in the Buffalo NY area.

  • Great Passive (No AMP) outdoor antenna for South Florida, adding elevation is key!
This is a passive, small signature antenna with almost all metal parts (mounting bracket especially) on it, which I believe mounting it to a well grounded mast helps as this is what I have it mounted to. I first tried mounting it at 2ft above roof level (approximately 20ft) and it drew in the local stations from here in west central Broward County (Ft Lauderdale) but was struggling to get the Miami-Dade border and Palm Beach was non-existant. I then moved it up another 10 feet and I was getting a total 122 channels and sub-channels across North Miami-Dade, all Broward and to my amazement, all the Palm Beach County stations. The TV picture with the cat is coming from WWHB Ch 48.1 way up in Stuart, FL, which is on the outer fringe of what this antenna is rated for distance. I was more interested in being able to at least tune in to the Weather Nation broadcast on ch 12.2 (WPEC Tower) in south Palm Beach county, which I'm getting a strong signal with this and now like I can now watch that channel without an amp during a hurricane, especially when I'm conserving power if the grid goes offline. Keep in mind, South Florida is pretty much flat at just above sea level, so line of sight is basically getting a little above (in my case, 30 feet from the ground) rooftop level. Just for kicks, I tried a pre-amp and it really made reception worse in my case. Things to consider when installing this antenna: Ensure the bracket is mounted to a well grounded mast, adding a lighting surge protector to that ground would also be a smart play, especially in lightning prone Florida. Be sure the coax is updated if possible, using a shielded coax (RG5 is what I use) with good type F connectors (Belden connectors preferred) ensuring that if DIY using a crimping, to have a multi tester on hand to check that the center feed at each end before connecting to antenna/TV, to ensure the connectors are not grounding out from the ground wire after crimping, this will completely destroy any incoming tv signals and you'll blame the antenna for it, when it's not. I bought a LTE/5G inline filter, but the verdict is out as to whether I really need it, if you do add this and also a lightning surge protector, be sure to read the fine print on each to know what end goes in the direction of the tv ("customer") and what end goes to the antenna ("service"). If you add a preamp, be sure the inline filter goes into the preamp input first, not on the output side. This I believe might be due to the filter possibly affecting the signal input. I plan to still experiment some to see if I can improve on the signals of the more distant (fringe area of antenna's rated distance) stations,. Overall, I am impressed with this especially passive antenna, pay attention to the details of installing and you should get the most out of this. Channel Master rarely ever disappoints and this was another example of engineering a very simplistic, easy to assemble and install antenna that should hold up far longer to the UV exposures with the mostly metal construction, unlike the LAVA antenna I first put up about 7 years ago, that the plastic mounting bracket and antenna became brittle from the constant UV and heat exposure here in Florida. ... show more

  • TV for free
So, I have a Tablo for recording over the air TV but I only had flat style antenna hooked up inside my house. It worked but not great. After much research I decided to try this one out and set it up outside. I had cable coming in from outside that wasn't being used and I decided to try that to get the signal to my TV's and Tablo. I mounted it on the eve's under my roof and after some moving it around found the best direction to fasten it down. It actually touches my gutter which seemed to make it even better. I get about 60 channels and can tune all of the major networks in my area. Previously I had trouble tuning the Fox networks because the lie in a different direction from the house and I had to compromise the direction I pointed my previous antenna's to get most stations. I even have the signal split in the house to the Tablo and one other TV and the signal is great to both devices. ... show more

  • Great Reception
We have had several over-the-air antennas. ( We stream most of the time) Our local stations have been pixelating badly. I had marked a couple of antennas as a possibility. After a particularly bad morning with recieption, It was time for new. I purchased this antenna. I was surprised with the size. This is smaller than I thought. Well, what the hell... I put it together (easily) and climbed up into the attic with this one. I mounted this to an antenna pole that was already up there (along with 3 other antennas) and Connected it. (I do have an inline filter, which blocks cell phone signals, as well as a high quality powered 2 TV splitter) Did the channel scan...OMG... went from 42 stations to 83. All HD Reception now is amazing. Crystal clear reception with no pixelation at all. Have had it installed now for 3 weeks and could not be happier. Signal strength is maxed out on the stations that were Pixelating badly. I am going to mount one on my travel trailer next. I recomend this antenea. Small but mighty! ... show more

  • Works great for me.
This Omni+ is working much better than I expected, and I just have it temporarily set up on the side of my shed with a 50 foot cable and no pre amp. It will be going up higher when I attach it to the house and I may use a preamp then. First I tried the Stealthtenna, and while that worked ok for most of the stations, there were a few about 20-50° away from the main ones that the Stealthtenna couldn’t pick up unless I re-aimed it. If all your stations are in the same cluster of towers, the Stealthtenna should work fine. So I bought this Omni+ to try and I am very pleased with all the stations I can pick up, plus the ones in other directions, and the signal it pretty good with all of them. I’m about 40 miles away from all the towers. And in perfect conditions I was able to pick up stations over 70 miles away in the middle of the night. The price is a little high, I think, but if it works as well as it has then it’s worth it. It looks well constructed with quality materials so it should last many years outside. ... show more

  • Lots of channels in a small footprint
I wasn't expecting much when I saw how small the antenna was. I was amazed when a channel scan found 129 channels compared to the 55 my old antenna got. A major part of this is due to the omni-directional ability of this antenna. I no loner was forced to choose only orlando or tampa stations. I could receive stations from both areas. and the majority had very solid signals. ... show more

  • Doesn't work.
Was sent a defective antenna, and because it's shipped by channel master, I can't return it.

  • Great for rural locations!
I had tried one of the cheaper antennas with built-in booster to install in my attic. We are in a rural area, closest tower is 60 miles away. I got 2 stations with the cheaper "1000 mile" unit. This antenna, coupled with the good channel master booster, I now get 43 stations! Great setup for rural locations! ... show more
