The media could not be loaded. My cat is 8 pounds, and this cat tree is just the right size. She fits in the hidey hole and has no trouble sitting on the highest perches. She llllloves the dangling mice. I bought this to expand her liveable space up since I live in an apartment. She loves it. And she hasn't put her claws in my sofa or armchair a single time since getting it now that she has the sisal scratching posts. I did place a heavy yearbook and decorate box on the bottom to help weigh it down, and pushed it into a corner for extra stability. It wobbles a little when she launches herself onto it, but with the weight on the base and the corner placement, it is pretty secure. Setup was relatively easy. I just laid out all of the parts in advance. The three shortest columns go inside the hidey hole box. The instructions didn't do a great job of explaining that. ... show more

I am very happy with this purchase. Both of my cats love it so much. They use the bottom scratch posts a lot and love the cube and the very top to sleep in/on. I do wish that the size of the part where they sit/curl up was a little bit bigger. Their legs hang off of it most times. They really do enjoy it, though. While nice, my 13lb never layed on perch. He only used it to get in the window. He never jumped down from the window onto the perch. Yet at the 30-day mark, I found the perch tilting to the side. The engineered wood did not hold the screw. It broke through, the screw still intact to the scratching post. I've had to buy two new posts so that I can attempt to fix. After opening the cat tree, I knew assembly was going to happen, but the tree came with no instructions, and I had to drill a hole for one of the screws to secure the cat condo down. It had a hole already, but it was in the wrong place. If you’re not good with building things, then this tree could be time consuming. I had to go back and forth to look at the picture to see how it was supposed to go together. All in all it’s a decent tree and our cats have already taken to it, but adding instructions and actually having the correct position of the holes would be much easier. You might want to keep looking for a better one!!!! ... show more
