I've added this to my BMW F650GS and stepped down to the 5" from a previous 7" model. This one is specific for the BMW GPS holder that is an OEM option. I don't have one so it was nice to know that I could remove the BMW connection piece and replace it with a standard 1" ball and use the 1" mount I already have on the handlebar. I just removed a few small screws, removed a large screw that holds the back on to the unit and swapped it for the mounting ball. Easy peasy. I had already wired for the Carpuride 7" and the plug was the same so the 5" was up and running in under 15 minutes. Getting everything to talk to another took a few minutes longer than last time but my mapping showed up, my headset/intercom in the helmet was getting satellite radio and all was good. I like these units and plan to leave my phone in my jacket or in the top case when charging. 4.5/5 ... show more

This installed quite easily, and the screen is bright but does wash out a bit in direct light. The Android Auto works well, allowing me to see Waze and use voice navigation prompts. It also worked well for hands-free calling with on-screen validation. A great product!
