Literally, It has wide range of reception that hears even drop of a single pin on the floor (not a pin that placed inside the heavy and big metal canister then dropped it on the floor). In the past 20 years, I have gone through my fair share of xlr microphones. Usually, the price tag defines the quality in this area. However, CAROL has changed that game, at a prosumer price level, this microphone really gives you your money's worth. Dialog is crisp and clear and barely any sound editing needs to be done. The only complaint I have is the on/off switch which in my opinion is not necessary. If you have a block on the microphone it will sometimes shut off on its own. I solved this problem by using some electrical tape to keep it always in the on position, but before I found this solution it was a bit frustrating. ... show more

I tried the Carol P-1 to see if the AHNC system actually worked. (It does). The AC-910 has a brighter sound with more clarity, which will work better for live singing. Carol mics aren't common in the USA, but it doesn't mean they aren't good stuff. Two years after buying the first one, I got several more. Bought to use for back up singers. Sound good for the price, only no on or off switch. So your gonna need an XLR connector for a mic with an off switch.

Has a nice presence rise at 5k. A little more bass than a Senn 735 but nicer presence. However the Senn costs about the same so I hope these hold up well. I bought mine without the switch because that could potentially be a problem down the road. Seems well built. Handling noise is very minimal.
