This may have been the best value item I've ever purchased. For what this cost, it gave me nearly all the features that I was missing from a newer car, making my 14 year old car feel new again. Having a big screen with Google Maps synced with my phone, higher quality music (no bluetooth-FM adapter needed anymore), a microphone that allows me to make hands-free calls with good sound quality, and a rear view camera are all super valuable to me, and this kit came with all of them. I'm honestly blown away by how different the car feels now. All in all, an easy 5 stars. That being said, there were a few minor pain points - all of which had solutions. Pros: *) Incredible value (includes rear view camera, microphone, GPS, etc.) *) Head unit is easy to install, giving most of the functionality without any special tools needed Mitigated cons: *) The sound is super bass heavy out of the box. This is fixed by updating settings in the equalizer, though it's hard to find how to open the equalizer. I had to map the "mode" button on the steering wheel to the equalizer in order to get it open. *) The backup camera didn't come with long enough power cable to splice into my backup light power - I had to use my own cabling. The instructions also weren't clear enough for me to install the backup camera without looking up additional videos showing the procedure. (The camera also required updating a setting in the menu to NTSC, as shown in a vendor-provided video on this page.) *) It's not reliable to switch from one phone to another when using wireless Android Auto. With one phone it seemed to work reliably. As a result we just use the wired Android Auto, which is faster anyway. Unmitigated cons: *) The passenger airbag light indicator has nowhere to go in the new face plate. If you don't plug its cable in, you get an alert light. If you keep it plugged in, it's hidden behind the screen and you don't know if it is on or off. All in all, an awesome product. If you have any issues with it, chances are good there is a solution to your problem listed somewhere on this page. If not, I found the vendor very responsive when I emailed with a question. My main suggestion for the vendor would be to add one additional instruction sheet with things like how to access the EQ, how to set the action of the music buttons on the steering wheel, how to configure the backup camera, etc. addressing the pain points people mention here often. ... show more

This unit took all afternoon to install obviously with all the bells n whistles. It looks cool. But terrible product. It simply does not connect to android auto wired or wireless. It connected via wired 1 time to my daughter's carplay and it was amazing. But it never connected again. After the entire install I sat in the car for 3.5 hrs trying everything we possibly could think of to get it to connect to android auto without success. It has Google maps but my god it's so slow and laggy it's not even worth using. I now have to wrip my dang apart all over again and find a new one. ... show more

Just installed this morning, install was pretty plain and simple, direct plug and play. It even comes with extra wiring if you have subs. CarPlay works flawlessly and honestly I think it made the sound in my car better. I couldn’t exactly figure out how to wire the back up camera but I’ll do that later when I feel like it, but I’m 100% satisfied ... show more

This is a great value for the money. There is no way you could get a head unit from a legitimate brand for this price, especially one with a large touchscreen, Carplay/Android Auto, including the dash kit, with a completely plug and play wiring harness. This is completely plug and play, the hardest part is getting the old radio out. No cutting, soldering or anything. You just need an 8mm socket and Phillips screwdrivers. However, wireless Carplay is unusably slow for anything other than displaying the map or the song title/artist. It is not possible to interact with your phone through wireless Carplay, if you want to put in a destination, switch playlists, or anything. Wireless Android Auto simply does not work. Wired Carplay and wired Android Auto both work and are fully functional, though a bit laggy. ... show more

Looks great and fits perfectly. only issue was my wifes Civic came with an updated navigation screen so the wiring didnt match up but one email to the seller was all it took. They wrote back within a couple hours to ask for some pics and info, then 2 days later a custom adapter is in the mail. Could not be more impresssed. Will update when the harness arrives but I am confident. Thank you Christy- I could not have imagined that it would be this easy I thought I would have to build an adapter myself. ... show more

Major con- Cant connect phone using USB lines... Only blue tooth connects phone to radio to play out of speakers. Which requires wifi to be on also. Also required an app to connect to radio. Drains phone battery so fast. No aux connection to bypass the need for Bluetooth, wifi, and app. The screen is nice. Fits well. Easy to install. Does not shut off when cars off so will drain battery. Have to turn off manually when you get out. There is a robot image that you can move around the screen that gets in the way and is not removable. Can't dim screen at night. Very bright. ... show more
