I bought this for my husband do use for a Cruise we went on. We had to fly, and it was used as a personal item. There were so many pockets to put things in, and I brought up a blanket and put it where the bungee cord is in the front! I would recommend 10 out of 10!!

l got this backpack to carry my computers and electronic gear when on out of the area appointments. It is a super nice bag. It also came with three extra packing cubes: They are canvas. Two are covered with a zippered mesh; and one is covered with clear zippered plastic. The smallest bag also has a simple a handle. Here’s what I like about the backpack: 1. Great exterior fabric. It is woven and rugged. I don’t think it will tear easily. 2. Great zipper pulls. Easy to grab and very sturdy! Good zippers. 3. Exterior woven and rugged strapping to add tools or other items, plus a criss cross strapping on the front. Strapping can be cinched and there is a lock in mechanism for cinching. 4. Extra D-rings to clip things to the outside plus it comes with a clip. 5. Hook and loop patch. I got the flag, but you could swap it out if you wanted to. Or, just use the loop material patch to affix your own items. 6. Handles are internally reinforced with plastic coated cable. 7. There are three ways to carry: (a) horizontally with side handle; (b) vertically with top handle; and (c) using the backpack straps. The backpack straps tuck away into a zippered compartment if you don’t want to use them. The backpack straps have a locking chest strap as well. I am 5’8” and when wearing the backpack, it falls a few inches below my waist line. The pack feels good on my back and I didn’t experience pressure points or shoulder cut-in. Also, the backpack straps latch to the bag with metal (not plastic) clips. 8. There is a luggage rack strap if you want to pair it with your check in bag. It should hold the bag securely. 9. Four exterior lock clips on woven strapping to latch and then cinch to keep the bag as compact as possible. 10. The extra zippered security pocket at the base of the backpack when worn. 11. There is an expansion zippered section to enlarge the bag if you need the space. 12. The main (central portion of the bag where most people would store their clothing) has criss cross clip strapping and nice lining. 13. The computer pocket area has nice padding for your computer. Your computer is held with a woven strap that has hook and loop tape to further secure it. There are also other pockets to stow all your electronics, plugs, adapters, tablet, etc. Just for note, the computer pocket does not extend to the bottom of the bag. If you are like me, you worry about the corners of your gear getting bumped when the bag is dropped on a corner. In this bag, your computer corner pocket is safely out of the bag’s corner zone. 14. On top of the computer pocket, there is another zippered pocket. It has areas for your phone, keys, etc. There is a zippered mesh pocket inside this pocket. Just for note, this area is not padded. Here’s what I didn’t care for: 1. This is really nit-picky, but I’d rather have the D-rings on the front in metal rather than plastic. I’ve experienced breaking plastic D-rings before (and therefore losing what was attached to them). However, this is not at all a deal breaker. In this one bag, I can get 2 laptops, a tablet, two phones, two DSLR cameras and their detachable lights, extra lenses, extra batteries for the laptops and the cameras, a WiFi hotspot, a portable scanner, and more!     • Excellent for Travel or just tool case
Through the Vine program I sometimes order items I doubt I will ever use, just to give an honest review which is what the program is for. Then the product surprises me and this one did just that. It's well made for one, I am by no means an expert on sewing or material but all looks to be good quality material which is used in this backpack. The think I like is the individual containers for storing like/common products means you can pre-pack then simply put everything in the main back pack when ready to leave. This backpack opens widest only on one side. Which helps in building a little sturdiness in the sides when packing. Travel bags that open on both sides tend to be flimsy after one side is filled, and you can't set them on a cart for loading in a room without something falling out and rolling under the hotel bed. This product and the individual bags helps with that. I need a radio go back, which keeps my mainly used electronic tools for testing so this may replace my older back pack. There is enough room for my tablets, tools and clothes for maybe a 3 day trip (I roll my clothes which makes for tighter packing). Not only does it help with packing it's design helps keep items secure and in place so they do not get damaged banging around with other items. The laptop storage areas are lined with very slippery (correct word?) material to prevent scratches, by adding the velcro strap to prevent them from slinging out when you close the panels. My old pack did not have that and in a hurry I slung the lid closed and had a laptop go flying across the bed. Since this is intended as a carry on I can understand not many exterior compartments, but I think a few for slipping a drink or other items to it would be beneficial. You can always remove a water bottle or sleep pillow hanging on the bag before it goes under the seat. ... show more

    • Good build quality; lots of flexibility and good zippers
I've used this for some casual traveling - just some long weekend plane trips. It's a perfect size for under-seat or overhead packing. It has a lot of pockets - too many for my use, but they don't really cause a problem and don't add weight. so I don't care. One thing I like is that the zippers slide really easily, even when the backpack is crammed full of stuff. I've never used cubes - I find them too fussy and confining - but again it's difficult to fault the backpack for including stuff I won't use. There's enough padding to protect my laptop (15" with plenty of room to spare) but not so bulky as to make the backpack unwieldy. The backpack straps work well (though it took me a while to figure out how to extract them from their hiding place) and when carried like that it's not too uncomfortable.
