Perhaps there was a bad lot that went out to warrant some negative ratings but these are exactly as presented. Two inch diameter for olympic bar. Finish is smooth with no rough spots or flaking. Fine product from my perspective.

I ordered two 45s, two 25s, four 10s, four 5s, and six 2.5s. According to a scale I purchased purely for this purpose, the actual weights are as follows: 45s: 45.3, 46.1 25s: 24.99, 25.22 10s: 10.24, 10.33, 10.34, 10.42 5s: 4.99, 5.08, 5.17, 5.18 2.5s: 2.48, 2.48, 2.48, 2.51, 2.57, 2.59 Lowest variance: -0.8% Highest variance: +4.2% Average variance: +1.6% Those are pretty typical variances, unlikely to have much of an impact in weightlifting. At this price point, one could expect much worse. The paint job is imperfect, but acceptable. The finish is rough in small spots on some plates, but can be smoothed down or ignored with a pair of gloves. The handles are very convenient, especially on the 45s. All of the plates fit well on my equipment. All of the plates arrived double-boxed with foam and plastic packing material. There was no damage. I don't see anything better for the price.
