There is everything to like about this set of 10 lb plates. The value is unmatched from what I’ve seen. The plates themselves are well made and the coating seems very durable and not that it matters as much but they’re aesthetically pleasing as well. They slide on and off smoothly and the little handle slits are a nice touch. I’ve ordered several sets so far and am using them primarily for loading up my adjustable Olympic dumbbell handles which they’re perfect for diameter wise while being able to pack decent poundages on efficiently. These are as shown and as described. Price is fair and perhaps even a bit lower than current market value for in-store weight purchases. We could not find the olympic size locally, anyway. The quality is as good as any we have ever purchased in a store but these came right to the front door so we didn't have to drive two hours to get a set from out of town store. We ordered the single weights separately as this seller is selling these because we had ordered a set of weights from another seller and only half of them were even sent. It appears to be a common issue for people ordering sets. They don't get the whole thing they paid for. Ordering these from this seller, individually, seemed safer. Then you know you will get what you order. Less complicated, more assured. Far less stressful. They are very well made, good finish and exactly what is advertised. So glad to have these weights. (Ordered two of the 25's and two of the 45's. All are equally high quality, well made. No inconsistencies in manufacture.) The 45's are beasts. Each was shipped separately. 45's from two different warehouses, so they don't necessarily all arrive on the same day if you order multiples. Both 4 5lbs in 2023. Bought another 4 5lbs in 2024. All says they are 5 lb but the ones I bought recently in 2024 are nicer, thicker and are exactly 5 lb. The old ones which were bought a year ago are narrower, uglier and are not 5 lb each one.

    • They're (Relatively) Cheap & They Work, With a semi-Loose Fit
Style: 45 LB Single
Unlike many cheap weights, including Caps own standard plates, these were packaged well- they were double-boxed with foam protection & reinforced shipping tape. I ordered two individual 45lb weights, both of which my bathroom scale says weigh in at 45.8lbs. Given that a bathroom scale is not the most accurate device in the world, I'd say these weights are pretty spot on & at the very least consistent in weight between plates. The main criticism of these is that the center olympic-sized hole is a fair bit bigger than it needs to be. This is probably deliberate to make them as compatible as possible with cheaper bars, but they do wobble even on Cap's own trap bar. A decent barbell collar would be a good idea to use with these. The finish isn't terrible nor perfect. It's still better than some cheaper weights and looks nice enough to keep in my main room. If you want brand new weights as cheaply as possible, and to be able to load as many as possible onto a bar, these iron weights are a decent pick. ... show more
