The camp chef 600 did not come with grill grates or flame diffuses. I could have gotten a different grill, griddle at a lower price with grill grates and flame diffuses. The weld on the wind break on the griddle is broken. The channel in front of the griddle for the grease to run into was never welded on the right side, so grease drips down on the grill and deck. I called camp chef on hold for 8min. Then email and no response. I feel like I wasted $600.00. Camp chef got my $600.00, and I got BAD QUALITY PRODUCT! I WILL NOT BUY ANY CAMP CHEF PRODUCTS AGAIN! ... show more

First thing I didn’t get mine on Amazon. The grill went together easily with the exception of the lid what a pain in the a%*. I’ve used it several times now and here’s what I came up. I still haven’t turned it up any higher then low. Even on low the griddle cranks. On another note I’ve never needed to close the lid while cooking I think it will get way too hot. ... show more

    • Love The Griddle! Hate The Lid!
The factory lid sucks! Putting it on the griddle was a pain as there are no instructions. Hint: It's not as easy as it looks. Putting the griddle together was a simple project. All the holes lined up and that's 98% of the battle with Chinese-made things. I originally ordered w/o the lid, but then I canceled and ordered the model with the lid. The problem with the lid... It only opens to roughly 45 degrees which directs all the heat and smoke directly into the chef's face. The after market one on Amazon is not hinged and simply hooks vertically on the rear of the griddle when in use, a much better option. The Camp Chef looks good, but looks are nothing in 96 degree Florida heat! ... show more

Overall, it seemed quite sturdy, but unfortunately, the steel top ended up severally warping after just three uses. What a letdown! I made an effort to reach out for help by calling the 800 number provided in the guide. But despite trying several times, they never bothered to return my calls. I was torn between this product and another brand that receives a lot of reviews from people. Interestingly, I couldn't find any comments about a warped top for either option.
