Looks like it's a well made tripod and seems to be very sturdy. I really like the rubber stabilizer feet that come with it and the phone holder is a nice add too, it is stable and adjusts easily.

Purchased the unit to mount my laser level. Unit costs a fraction of what the big box stores charge for similar stands. Just to be clear this really isn't expected to be commercial contractor quality stand but if you take care when setting it up with the level it works as expected.

We got this to have a camera on our deck on a recent Alaska cruise. It was perfect. Heavy duty, didn’t feel it would blow away, but it was lightweight, easy to set up and comes in a nice bag to store. Would buy again.

Out of the box, this is a pretty awesome tripod. It has all the features and functions you’d expect, even a mount that holds your phone if that serves as your only camera. I’d say it’s perfect for phones, compact or pocket cameras. Now, I knew what to expect, but I was hopeful based on how much weight is claimed it can hold. I have the small full frame D780, and the smaller crop frame D7000. I think both are too heavy with even an upgraded 17-50 for the D7000 or a 15-30 on the D780. It seems to lose a little balance when using the 90° hinge for portrait mode with both cameras. Although tilt and swivel adjustments are tight and feel good. I wouldn’t recommend using any camera heavier than a D3000 or 5000 series, a Canon Rebel, or equivalent if you want the steadiest shots. I don’t know enough about mirrorless cameras to give an opinion in that regard. ... show more

I needed a new tripod for my heavy duty camera and came across this one. I liked that it was light weight and it also came with a phone holder which was a huge plus. The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because I just wish it was a little bit heavier
