  • After one day I'm impressed.
I have several reverb pedals, but the Mariana is by far the most interesting of them. Having an EQ in the reverb to accentuate or minimize the highs or lows on the wet signal is surprisingly useful. Very gnarly cavernous sounds can be achieved with a fuzz and octave pedal before it. Clean sounds do best with a bit of compression before it to cut through a mix in my opinion but I'm sure someone can find it useful without compression. There is a lot of variety in this pedal for the price. It is not Behringer level inexpensive (I have no qualms with them and own almost all of their pedals) but good enough when you compare it to boutique pedals that do things similarly. Small manufacturers are great and deserve support but some of us can't justify a $200+ pedal. The budget pedal makers coming out of China in the last 3-5 years I thought were going to be junk but manufacturers like Caline, JOYO, and FLAMMA are surprisingly effective for their price. Would I love to have an all Boss, EHX, Strymon, JHS, Earthquaker, ZVEX, etc. pedal selection to choose from? Sure would. Will I accept a cheaper option that gets me really close in most circumstances? Absolutely. If something sounds good and works well for you, then there is nothing wrong with buying it and using it. No one will be able to tell in your recordings if you used a Strymon vs. a Caline. If you can afford to buy great but expensive pedals, then by all means do so. That's commerce. If you want to see if something is for you before upgrading, then these types of pedal manufacturers are the way to go. ... show more

  • Amazing reverb and featureset, but with some frustrating limitations
The sound quality and featureset is amazing for the price! I don't think there's anything else under $100 that really competes. As a combined multi-mod and reverb pedal, it's perfect for shoegaze, dream pop, jazz, and anything else that calls for spacey sounds. Unfortunately, it has some bizarre limitations that you need to work around to use it - mislabeled controls (like the "pitch mix" on The Kraken that's actually a decay), The Bends being kind of unusable outside of weird experimental/ambient soundscapes, and the lack of any "normal" reverb with full access to decay and mix, without modulation. That being said, by turning down the reverb, you do get access to a reverb-less flangey chorus, a tremolo, and a pitch shift on The Deep, Propellor, and The Kraken respectively, so that's a plus. Mermaids is also just a normal phaser without reverb. ... show more

  • Punches way above it's pricetag
Using this with an Arturia Microfreak completely opens up new possibilities!

  • Very versatile reverb. Sounds amazing stacked with other reverb pedals.
This pedal will stay on my board forever. It sounds decent enough alone but once you start stacking with other reverbs and modulation pedals, well that's when it really begins to shine. For the price you can't go wrong. I've owned this pedal for over a year now and it still works perfectly with daily use. Great pedal. Recommend. ... show more

  • Unique and Fun Pedal
Overall, a really fun pedal. You can get some very unique and dynamic reverb sounds. Great for experimenting. My only criticisms are that it cannot run on a battery, nor does it come with a power cord. Other than that, it is a really cool pedal to play around with.

  • Not what I expected, but still great.
It has some interesting and useful sounds. I was kinda looking for a shimmery verb and this is not really the ticket, however, I found some great sounds that I didn't even know existed. This pedal is a fine addition to my board. You can create a lot of useful sounds like massive reverbs, trems, octaves, delayed reverbs that come whooshing in half a second later. I am really impressed. ... show more

  • A reverb with effects
Feels like it's two kinds of reverb are used the spring setting and the rest have a different one. It's l nice for ambience maybe some post rock. Wish it had a reverb type knob would of been 5 stars then. But this brand of pedals is a good bang for buck

  • (( Quite Different Reverb. 👍 ))
Rare Reverb Pedal / No Tail At All With A Harmonica Until You Hit The Last Setting / " The Kraken " ; Then It Is Massive Reverb. (( P.S. ))= USE A DELAY PEDAL ON ALL BUT , " THE KRAKEN. " 👌
