  • Great product for MacBook cable management
I really like Brydge hub. I use it to drive 2 monitors, and multiple USB devices (thermal printer, web cam, etc). The built in power over USB-C feature is great and allows me to have a single connection to the MacBook Pro 16" to the Brydge. No other cable connections to the MacBook needed. So when I want to disconnect the MacBook and go mobile with it, I just unplug the one USB-C connection. I highly recommend this product if cable management drives you nuts. Previously I had a thunderbolt adapter that drove 2 monitors. Another consideration for me. I drive a 4K monitor using Display Port cable from the Brydge. Previously, I had a thunderbolt adapter with 2 HDMI outputs. This worked, but when I unplugged the laptop and then reconnected, I had to unplug and then replug the HDMI cable on my Viewsonic 32" monitor to get the display to come back up. With the Brydge, I plug in and everything works seamlessly. It is well worth the cost to me. If you don't mind a MacBook with a bunch of cable connections to it, then you don't need this. That setup, a connection for monitors, a connection for power adapter, a connection for a USB hub to drive external devices, drove me nuts. ... show more

  • Great USB Dock / hub solution
This Docking Station / Hub is a great add on for Mac / PC users. The actual case gets quite hot however this is understandable since it is made from Aluminum. It has plenty of connections for almost every need. Power supply provided also has enough power to charge MAC and also a few other devices. The added bonus of an SD card slot is a plus for photographers / tech people that need to have access to SD devices. Compared to other bulky solutions this slim wedge design can fit under macbook pro or has a supplied cord long enough to be placed approx 6"-8" away from machine. In my case, I replaced an older Henge branded device that had some issues with one oft he ports not working after many years of service. ... show more

  • Works perfectly right out of the box
I bought the Brydge Stone Pro Dock for my 2020 Intel i5 MacBook Pro 13 to work more effectively on my desktop. The Brydge was totally plug and play, wakes from sleep properly, and brings everything up as expected when I plug it in. It works smoothly whether the clamshell is open or closed. The only trickiness involved my Logi USB unified mouse and keyboard. I'm using USB instead of Bluetooth because USB makes the keyboard available while the computer boots (in case of emergency). The dock can create wireless interference for the USB dongle causing the mouse and keyboard to skip and drop. So I use a USB extension cable to move the dongle away from the dock and now all is well. Before buying this, I tried the CalDigit TS3 Plus dock, and I returned it in exchange for this dock. The TS3 would not wake from sleep and frequently froze the computer. The only way to recover was to unplug the dock. Working with CalDigit support did not help. I do not understand how the TS3 gets such favorable reviews. ... show more

  • One of the best available
This is largely marketed as the best dock on the market for the MBP and it's delivered. It's visually appealing, has a ton of ports and unfortunately very expensive (my only knock on it). If you have the M1 chip this won't magically give you more screens to extend to and that is a problem with the M1 chip, Brydge is pretty clear about what this can and cannot do. I have an intel chipset and I get 2 monitors to connect to. It's not optimal for me, but it's life with a MBP. This does run a little warm, I never saw it mentioned but it's not surprising given that I do have every port occupied. ... show more

  • Excels in areas that aren't super important.
Between this and the CalDigit TS3+, this seemed like the more intentionally designed product, so I went for it. I have since replaced it with the CalDigit and would say that I was quite incorrect. They are both very well designed products, and I would say the CalDigit has the overall edge. The Stone Pro is designed specifically for MacBook users that want to set their MacBook on top of the stone and utilize their machine in that position. If this is you, you will love the Stone Pro. For anyone else that is looking for a hub that they will *not* rest their laptop upon, the form factor loses appeal. The case does not have great thermals, takes up more desk space to maintain the flat aesthetic, and has no front interface, which is a nice-to-have. By contrast, the CalDigit case is an actual heatsink, it has a more narrow footprint (far more narrow if you stand it vertical), and provides some common ports on the front. If you're shopping between this and the CalDigit, I would expect the average user to be happier with the CalDigit. ... show more

  • Perfect dock, no issues, gets hot
I really wanted this dock because it is one of the only docks I’ve found where all of the ports are on the rear. With this I’m able to have several peripherals + 4k monitor connected to my MacBook with just a single thunderbolt cable, and my desk still has a very clean look. I was concerned about technical issues, as many other reviews have reported, but so far this has worked flawlessly. It does get pretty hot to the touch, especially when I am using the computer. I’m crossing my fingers that the heat is being properly dissipated and doesn’t cause issues in the long term. I’m using this with a 16” M1 Pro MacBook Pro. ... show more

  • Solid docking station
I am running 2 4k monitors and charging my computer off of this docking station and it is doing well so far. It was pricey but so far so good.

  • Could be better. Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C ports are output only.
Overall the product does what it does well enough. However, the use case that I have is to connect a Video conferencing device to the Thunderbolt 3 port as a second monitor and to use the Camera, Speaker, and microphone of the Video Conferencing device. This does not work because the Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C ports are output only so I do not see the microphone on my Video Device as an output device in my MacBookPro's settings. If you need by-directional ports as mentioned the Plugable Thunderbolt 3 dock is a much better choice. AND its less money ... show more
