    • Best machine I ever used
I've had 2 Janome's and a Singer...(don't waste your money on a singer). This one is far better than my Janome's. It's pretty easy to get started but you might need an online tutorial about threading the top thread and the bobbin thread. I hope to have it for a long time.

I am having a lot of fun using my Brother Pacesetter PS500, I do not know enough about sewing, to give a crazy detailed review but so far I have had no issues learning how to use it, everything is quite easy to figure out, it seems to have plenty of power and sews with ease like a well oiled machine, I sat at the feet of my mother and my grandmother who were both seamstresses and made it look like Childs play, you put this here and step on the foot petal and it goes like this, well I am learning, that there is a whole lot of skill that makes it go just like that. I will report back if there are any issues but if it continues to work as well as it has been I cannot see how you can go wrong with the purchase of this sewing machine. machine. ... show more

This was recommended by a friend when my old machine went kaput. It is fantastic. So many features and I find new things all the time. Also, the seller is lovely. I thought the additional package with feet, etc. was missing. They agreed without hesitation to send me another. Then I found it hiding at the bottom of the box. Oops. There was a small mix-up with the shipping and the store called me back before they even opened for the day with all the information I needed. On top of that, the machine is completely beautiful. I didn't even realize how loud and weak my old faithful machine was until starting off with this one.

I love this machine! I'm a new quilter and this machine is very easy to use. This is my second Brother sewing machine and while I'm new to quilting, I'm not new to a sewing machine.
