I have another camera similar to this one & wanted an additional, but I ran across this particular one that looked like it might have a few small upgrades to my current one. So far, they are both pretty comparable, with the one major difference being the magnet on this one, which is super handy for attaching to something metal & having it stay put without clips, brackets, etc. A few major notes: --Video quality is quite good --Night vision is also impressive (just don't get too far away from what's being recorded) --Comes with a variety of clips/lanyard/mounts --Magnet built into the camera is super nice (esp. for mounting discreetly underneath something metal) --Whether using to keep an eye on someone/thing or just sports/recreation/etc., camera is good & versatile Overall, this is a really good camera for the money & is very comparable to other, much more expensive, cameras. This product performs just as described. Good quality video picture for such a small lens. It has a wide angle so it records nearly all of a room. Having children of various ages, friends of children, and pets in the house, we use it for keeping an eye on all the activities when we aren't in the room. I use it on motion detection mode. It starts recording quickly and continues for 5 minutes and stops recording if there is no longer any motion detected. If motion is detected then it starts a new 5 minute recording beginning right where the first recording ended. I like that the mini SD card is hidden as well as the mode switch and that it is easy to download the recordings to a cellphone or computer. I usually plug it into my portable battery pack with a charger cord I modified so that it does not actually charge the power pack but looks like it is in use. Very nice, useful product. ... show more

How can I install a camera without seeing the view while installing? This camera uses a SD card. If you you use it, just know you are installing blindly. There isn't an app or anything to let you see what the camera is looking at or if it is actually working. There should be a better way of being able to see the camera live while installing. The hassle of trying it out , removing the SD card, viewing the SD card to see what was recorded is just too much. At best...this was falsely advertised in the video snippet like you are able to see the video while connected. It's a return for me. ... show more

This mini spy cam is a great little gadget for keeping an eye on things when you're not around. It's super small and discreet, so you can easily hide it anywhere. The night vision and motion detection features are awesome, too. I feel like I can finally relax knowing that my home is being watched even when I'm not there. The only downside is that the battery life isn't the best, so you'll need to keep it plugged in if you want to use it for long periods of time. But overall, I'm really happy with this purchase. You must have an SD card for this to work. It doesn't transmit anything via wifi, it only stores on the SD card which you will need to download onto your computer, laptop or phone. The operation is difficult and complicated for someone who is not tech-savy. I couldn't tell when it was on/off. The holder/swivel broke after the tape failed and it all came crashing to the ground. If your only need for this is to record happenings to see later, this might be the gadget for you. You cannot see recordings in real time. ... show more

This is a great mini camera. For a small lens it has a great quality video . We use it to keep an eye on our cats. Has wide angle so you can see most of the all around the room. There is a motion detection mode as well . Magnet holds well. Night vision is good as well. Overall this is actually a pretty great mini camera especially for the price . I would definitely recommend it to keep an eye on your pets or whomever/whatever. Easy to instal as well ... show more

I don’t know if it worked well or not because it was very complicated to use. It had no obvious way of seeing if it was recording so until you remove the card and put it in a computer to check I couldn’t see if it recorded anything.

Personally this little camera impressed me. It couldn’t be easier to format disc in the camera. Picture quality is good and so is sound. The controls are a little confusing because there is no lights to suggest on or off but that is part of its inconspicuous existence. For 29$ it’s worth it. Not sure how long the battery will last and haven’t tried infra red yet so there may be an updated review. ... show more
