We are using this as a baby monitor, because I like the security features — it requires access to the app to view the camera feed, and if someone tries to log in I get a notification to my phone, and it has the 2 step verification so it’s not easy to hack into. It works extremely well for this purpose, and is very easy to set up and use. The motion detection and noise/sound detection works very well, if baby wakes up and is moving around or crying I get a notification within seconds. The video quality is clear and I love that it basically has “night vision” so even in a dark nursery I can clearly see everything. Being able to control the camera view and adjust the angle via app is an amazing feature so I don’t have to tiptoe in, move it manually and risk waking baby. I also love that it records 24/7 so in the morning I can watch and see how well baby slept (or didn’t sleep!) Overall, I absolutely love this camera and will be purchasing 2 more to keep an eye on the dog while I’m out of the house. This camera is everything I was looking for. The picture quality and audio are amazing for such a small camera and low price. Recordings at night are so clear and bright that it looks like they were taken during the day. It is powered by cord, so there is no need for batteries. The app is super easy to use and holds all of the recordings for about a month and gives you the option to download specific recordings to your phone. If you are not using an SD card, you need to purchase a subscription for the recordings, though I think it is super cheap and absolutely worth it ($20/year). I love the microphone in it to be able to talk to my pet bunny while I’m away. The motion tracking feature is awesome, though unnecessary for what I am using it for, and you can even pan around from your phone in real time. I purchased five of these cameras back in April to help monitor my father, who is in hospice care. Initially, they worked well, but after a few months, three of the five cameras started malfunctioning, requiring constant resets. Recently, a fourth camera has started acting up as well. We considered switching to a different brand but decided to stick with this one for the ease of setup, especially for my mother, who was already familiar with the system. Reluctantly, we purchased four new cameras to replace the ones that are only six months old, as they are now outside the return window. I feel that for the price, these cameras should last longer than half a year. I would appreciate it if the company would consider allowing returns or replacements under these circumstances. Despite these issues, the image quality is excellent, and the cameras are very convenient to use. However, the short lifespan is disappointing. If there are any options for assistance, I would be grateful if someone from the company could reach out.. ... show more

My husband and I adopted two kittens (almost 3 months old) about 3 weeks ago and have them in their own room overnight and during large chunks of the day. We casually mentioned it'd be cool to put a camera in the room so we could see what they are up to, but then one night I heard them seriously rough housing. I wanted to check on them, but didn't want to go in the room (the little boy is incredibly vocal and going in there would have prompted a 30 minute bout of meowing to get out of the room), so on a whim I ordered this camera. It arrived quickly, setup was a breeze, and I'm astounded with the quality and functionality. My husband and I both have the app on our phone, monitor them on and off while they are in there, and it helps us prepare for any messes. The night vision is amazing, I was really impressed with how well we can see in there during the night. At first I was ready to turn off the motion detection notification, but realized it's actually really helpful during the night, as the time stamp of the push notification(s) helps me know if they have been up for a while We ordered two more cameras to put in other spots in the house to help us monitor kitties without needing to get up every few minutes ... show more

the rotation and clarity are great. Notifications and compactness makes it a nice addition. Had trouble getting it to sync, but moved it closer to router temporarily and was the answer, moved it to where it resides and started right back communicating.

I love all the features even the pan & tilt feature. It is a bit slow but that might be because I'm kind of far from my wifi but then again it's slow when I'm away so idk. I have another Tapo brand indoor camera and they both work great. This is basically the same brand cuz the Tapo app works seamlessly with it. I do have another 30 day trial with this camera and I got it on sale on here. Took a little longer to set up, more so than my Tapo but I got it and it works great. I like how the detection moves with the thing in motion so it pans as the car drives by or someone walks by. I almost want to return my other one but the 2K quality of the other one is amazing. 1080p is ok but then again my iPhone 13 pro max doesn't have the greatest screen quality anymore so it's all the same. Definitely love this brand. The subscription is only about $35 a year so not bad. ... show more
